The obliviousness may be due to the fading of evangelization and Christian culture in general. I went to a Catholic school and even we did not learn that much about Christianity. I have to believe that those who do not find God and do not repent, will go to hell and stay there until eternity. That is why we habe to pray for the ones that dl not have God in their life.
