Well, it is silly to say souls don't exist, but since there is zero evidence that they do exist, and zero reason for them to need to exist, it's not that crazy to say. Of course just because you can't observe something doesn't mean it's not there, and I don't think that Brian Cox was making that claim.
Consciousness could very well be a ubiqituous natural phenomonen that occurs everywhere and perhaps human biology simply focuses it in a very specific way. But it's very obvious that human consciousness directly linked to brain activity, you don't need to look any further than the countless examples of brain traumas cause very noticeable changes to someones personality. The mind-body relationship is very real and the idea of an unchanging self that is somehow seperate from human biology is not something I see any reason to believe in.
We've done experiments with split brain patients and have observed two seperate consciousness' forming that have different goals, personalities, etc. Clearly our body and brain account for what makes us human. The difficulty is figuring out whether or not there could be some sort of independent spirit that is associated with the human form, and how its consciousness would be different from the consciousness that exists in our current state. I am open to the idea that there is some kind of consciousness that goes on after death, but I don't think it would be us; the idea that our "self" can go on after death doesn't make much since in this context because the "self" as we know it is merely a collection of memories and personalities based on our environment.
I know Prof. Gleiser personally and have worked with him. Studied advanced Quantum Mechanics under him. He taught me Quantum Electrondynamics (the stuff Feynman is mostly famous for).No its not linked to brain activity. In fact, a lot of evidence shows that the brain can't even store memories. Science right now can't even cure basic things like eczema It's absurd to think we know enough when we haven't figured out the human body yet. In a few hundreds years from now a lot of the current scientific theories could be completely flipped on their heads with a new discovery. The arrogance of scientists today. Physicist Marcelo Gleiser: 'Science does not kill God'
The annual Templeton Prize, which recognizes outstanding contributions to "affirming life's spiritual dimension," was awarded Tuesday to Brazilian Marcelo Gleiser -- a theoretical physicist dedicated to demonstrating science and religion are not enemies. A physics and astronomy professor whose...news.yahoo.com
"When you hear very famous scientists making pronouncements like ... cosmology has explained the origin of the universe and the whole, and we don't need God anymore. That's complete nonsense," he added.
"Because we have not explained the origin of the universe at all."
FYI, you forgot the quotation marks around "Catholic.""Director Yuval David, a Jew "married" to his "Catholic" "husband," says he noticed the absence of LGBTQ+ portrayals of Jesus in Catholicism — a faith where icons play a significant part.

That's because they are a freakshow. Physiognomy 101.You know, is it just me or does it seem that these trannies can't even dress like normal, adult women? They have to dress in the most childish, ridiculous manner. Like they want to flaunt their freakshow nature.
Further proof that pedastry, child molestation, abuse, and grooming are a fundamental and inseparable part of this demonic illness. You know, is it just me or does it seem that these trannies can't even dress like normal, adult women? They have to dress in the most childish, ridiculous manner. Like they want to flaunt their freakshow nature.
