The story in the original book took place a significant ways into the future at the time of writing, and was really a commentary on Fascism, not only in the USSR and Nazi Germany, but in England too.
If this typist copies the book slavishly, it will be an alternate history book about events almost 40 years ago, which are symbolic of the political situation almost 100 years ago, but with a chick as the lead character. How irrelevant can you get?
If she really wanted to be edgy, she'd call it 2084, and have it be about the modern globohomo agenda and how it parallels the excesses and evils of the leftist totalitarians in the 1930s. It would make sense to have the main character in a story like this be some kind of woke feminist, who starts to see how things really are going.
