Its all just conjecture on this on my part.
I just think that people can even be okay with "we'll assassinate you"
But there are worse threats to receive than that. I wonder if the threats they get are more far-reaching, ie: what will happen to your country.
Look what they did to not just the Tsar: they also raped, tortured and killed his entire family, they also starved and genocided millions of the Russian people and preyed on them and reduced them to the barest slavery.
Look at how many millions of Hitlers Germans they starved, raped and killed.
Maybe the threats they make are more far reaching, more chilling. A real pandemic etc.

I don't know, I can't imagine that Bolsonaro cucked for any small reason. Maybe he did.
But the TPTB seem to be able to get to anyone if they want to.
Maybe the only real populists who can walk their talk without having a glass back are the likes of the Taliban, the IRA or FARC.. but only when they are "out of office".
This is the same phenomenon that happened when Trump "cucked". It's more obvious with Bolsonaro though.
These guys don't single-handedly fix a communist wave that began in the 20's in a couple years and suddenly we all hate them? Not only that but they have spent their entire careers trying to compromise staying in power and standing for some principles and when they inevitably try to cling to power we're surprised?
Beyond that, what else is the alternative, to go back in time and vote for their opponent or not vote at all?
Being a leader is not quite as altruistic as being a soldier...which isn't actually that altruistic either in reality.
To say they should never have even tried in the first place makes no sense to me. They are moving the chain and we all need to follow the good parts of their example and learn from the bad. Another man doesn't owe me a perfect society on a platter.
And @BarrontheTigercat makes a good point that we don't really know what's going on behind the scenes.
I'm sure there is more nuance in your thinking, @ginsu but your post highlights a position I think a lot of people have without the nuance.
@Cartographer, not everybody has reached the same conclusion you and I have about those things. The red pill is a journey that takes time, and some people are not yet as advanced in that as others are. It appears that @ginsu is someone who still believes in some vestige of blue-pilled concepts about what leadership is, or how leadership works in our world today. He is still wrestling with the concept that the POTUS or the POB are the most powerful people in their spheres of influence. A lot of people, even mildly red-pilled ones, still think that Trump was some sort of absolute king or dare I say, God-Emperor. And maybe in some way, he COULD HAVE stepped up and issued crazy executive orders and then told the courts to go stuff themselves.
But remember, Trump pardoned rappers and murderers, not the people he baited into rushing Capitol Hill. He never even apologized to the people who are now being tortured because they answered HIS call. Not even a mocking "lol sorry idiots".
Then people wonder why the military leadership doesn't step up. They've heard all their lives that the military leadership are good, wise men that all would come racing to our rescue if we ever had a corrupt government. Well, they did. But they rushed to undermine and mock Trump. Even the men that Trump supposedly appointed were quick to undercut him.
Trump was controlled and the military men were also controlled. Maybe by different forces, maybe by the same force playing one side against another.
Nobody is coming to our rescue. We the people are on our own. And half of us are begging, imploring, demanding that they put gold-plated shackles on us and kill the other half. The other half, people like you and me, still act like the law, like voting, like anything political is going to magically transport us back to the idyllic 1950s Leave It To Beaver world.
If you want that Leave It To Beaver society, you're going to have to gird up your loins. They ain't giving it to us. It's going to have to be taken.

One info that is being ignored outside Brazil is that one of Bolsonaro's sons (Flávio) was accused of taking a cut on his advisors' salary as a requirement for the position, and that is Bolsonaro's main vulnerability.
What he's is willing to do to save his son's skin? At this point is hard to fully trust him.

I am Brazilian and I ask you to not take into account what the current Brazilian president speaks, for he does not regulate well from his head (he is captain reformed by it) and is only in power because part of Brazilians think consumer goods should be for a few.
I am a center voter, I do not want the current president to reelect even if the former president returns to power!

Not an expert by any means, but to avoid giving fuel to all the negative stuff the media and lefties constantly lie about? Pretty much how Trump had to operate in the US to prevent a full on Woke coup.

Bolsonaro should have had the photo taken of him eating the pizza in the plaza right in front of city hall, and then turned around and gotten another photo with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background. Probably, he didn't have enough time since the UN building is up in midtown.
He called thousands of people to protest the Supreme Court and then backed down for some reason, I suspect it might have to do with his son being targeted.
So an unelected globalist organization has more power over the politics, rights and freedoms of citizens in a nation state than the leader of that nation state.

From what I saw, there was a familiar pattern:
-Initial tallies (20% counted) showed Bolsonaro with a strong lead.
-sudden surge of millions of votes for Lula puts Lula significantly ahead
Maybe they use Dominion voting machines in Brazil too.
