We forget that a divorce really isn't over until the kids are eighteen years old. She can always hall Jeff back into court for more child support and alimony.

A wife taking 1/4 of the current wealth with an agreement not to bust up or have any interest or involvement in the husband's future ventures seems like a perfectly a acceptable agreement.
Regular men wouldn't be scared to marry at all if all the divorcee wife got was less than half of the current marital assets and no alimony or egregious child support and no interest in the husband's future earnings (pensions, ongoing business ventures, imputed income...)
