The Joe Rogan thread

So, everything is pulled from youtube on 1 September 2020?

What if he "violates" their agreements? I don't think he's that unaware as to have a negotiated component of walking away without too stiff a penalty. Otherwise, don't go too deep into those millions, Joe

Google or Youtube should pay Rogan to keep his videos on the site
since it likely generated a lot of advertising fees for Youtube.
Hopefully its just a licensing deal and Rogan can keep ownerhsip of
his brand, but jjust give Spotify the distribution rights to stream his stuff
and sell his advertising time.

I've been following the Call Her Daddy Barstool podcast drama and it seems like
podcasting is the new way to make a lot of money. Apparently they were trying to break their 3 year contract and move to Wondery for a bigger payday. But an HBO executive is dating one of the girls and refusing to let them go back to Barstool. Even Logan Paul is telling the CHD to leave for more money elsewhere, and he told them how much he makes on his podcast.

Call me crazy but I'm guessing this comes down to him being paid to fall into obscurity and make way for a more "authorized" figure. Not that Rogan was some beacon of truth or anything... sort of like Howard Stern.

Spotify has no incentive to censor anything, and perhaps the JRE can skirt some of youtubes more insane copyright terms. Its incredible how often he has to mention that "we will be pulled off youtube if we show that".

Perhaps with time spotify will be forced to run algorithms in order to keep the censor and copyright police off their backs. But since its a music platform, I would imagine different rules apply. See music sampling, for example.

For some reason I see JR doing some good with his massive fucking huge payout. He has certainly been rattled hard during this forced lockdown in California, and he keeps mentioning bugging out to another state. It could very much be the catalyst that tips the narrative into our territory. Just glancing at his reddit, it seems his fans are mostly pretty driven men. They also seem to be pretty upstanding and compassionate. If the largest voice in media is a red blooded, meat eating, animal hunting, martial artist and heterosexual, this can only be a big win for us all.

Compare that to the cock sucking, soy eating bottoms currently at the front of CNN.

I'm fine with it. Spotify is a great program overall, much much better than iTunes, and so I'm hoping other podcasts will follow suit.

Besides, Youtube is shit now, Google's thought policing is getting way out of hand, they're almost as bad as Reddit.

Joe Rogan should have read “Corporate Cancer.” Too bad he didn’t push for creative license like the creator of The Simpsons did. Therefore, he will be forced to bend the knee and kiss the SJW ring. The historic trend now is the sharpening difference between good and evil. Pity that $$$ will be his golden handcuffs.

This is just a desperate attempt to hold on to young men as an audience. When Rogan is sufficiently compromised (or fails to stand up to forced vaccinations or some other NWO shibboleth), his audience will melt.

It should get interesting when the Chinese government scrubs all his anti Chinese podcasts from spotify.

^ Joe Rogan Tells Alex Jones He Is ‘Going to WAR’ Against Google And Big Tech
Rogan snubbed YouTube as a strike back against CENSORSHIP.

21 May, 2020
Steve Watson

Alex Jones exclusively revealed Thursday that Joe Rogan signed an exclusivity contract for his podcast with Spotify as a way of striking back against YouTube censorship.

Jones, who has been friends with Rogan for 22 years, spoke at length with the podcast king, with Rogan telling him that he should announce to the world that the move is a direct strike against Google, that the “gloves are off” and he is “going to war” against big tech tyranny.

Jones told his audience that Rogan had encouraged him to go on air and “put it all out there.”

The deal, suggested to be worth $100 million was announced earlier this week. Analysts are saying that it will change the face of media forever.

Jones, who has appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience numerous times, also announced that Rogan had specifically requested in his contract with Spotify that the Infowars host will be allowed to appear uncensored on the podcast on Spotify.

Jones said Rogan wants him as the first guest on the show when it arrives on Spotify on the 1st of September, followed by Elon Musk, who is also currently speaking out against big tech censorship and cancel culture.

The last time Jones appeared on the podcast, it was the most listened to podcast of 2019 with over 17 million views on YouTube.

Google was subsequently caught shadow banning the episode in an attempt to stop its popularity.

Jones said Rogan told him he is sick of being treated poorly by Google, and the straw that broke the camel’s back was that Rogan wanted to interview doctors and experts who have differing opinions on the coronavirus to the officially sanctioned narrative, and was told by YouTube that they would not allow such content on their platform.

Rogan also told Jones that the lockdown has provided him more clarity on the situation.

Rogan has noted on his podcast that YouTube is consistently demonetising his content and removing videos. He told Jones that he sees it not only as ‘un-American’, but also ‘anti-human’.

An excited Jones descried the move by Rogan as “peak internet”.

Rogan’s podcast was downloaded 190 million times per month last year. His YouTube channel has 8.42 million subscribers, and the move away is sure to be a huge strike against big tech thought control.

That's a big ticket for rogan. I'm still not a very big fan of him. He did endorse bernie sanders. I regard rogan as this sort of dude-bro that enjoys philosophizing with his bros smoking joints on the hood of his car staring at the stars. And when it comes to his "philosophy" I find it shallow. He seems to want to be a "cool" philosopher, consider his rendition of "creation", which is an ape mistakenly eating some kind of psychedelic plant.

That said his show does have good guests and can be interesting. But, I shutter, because I can see how he has the sort of active, former jock male demographic. A demographic I belong too. My problem all along with rogan is that he is a red piller, but, he only goes so far. And he does not go far enough.

He plays with spirituality and given his "trips" on DMT that he does talk about often about, you can tell he thinks there is something more to this reality. But, that's as far as it will go. Nothing Christian or even Judeo-Christian.

Similarly, he is outspoken against cross dressing tyranny especially for kids and "sjwism" in general. All good things. But, he makes a point to tear into conservatives when he can, in an attempt to appear "balanced", but all that does is play into the hands of the left by accusing conservatives of being Nazis. Of course, he won't admit the obvious, that Nazis (National Socialists) were leftists, as we've pointed out repeatedly.

He's a good entry point for the red pill and ostensibly a way for people, particularly, males to confront their cultural indoctrination. But he only goes so far. Indeed, he's afraid of censorship and being banned. But, how is that a good excuse? For someone who comes across as such an independent thinker, he is only proving to all of us that he's too cowardly to confront the tyranny that is upon us. So, what good are you joe?

Perhaps its that. Perhaps he is part leftist, perhaps he's a "individual", perhaps he's a short bald man with a small dick and, therefore, is insecure about himself and wants to fit in? And so, he can only be so "independent".

I've also sensed that old rogan was a lot more red pill than new rogan. What matters to you and me is that we have more people being red pilled. rogan does that, but only so far. I fear that his cult of personality has ensnared a sizable tranche of people that wallow in his surface level red pill, which does no one any good. Yes, getting a taste of red pill is good, but, if you're on the surface its as though you're holding the pill from Morpheus in suspended state above your mouth. And so, rogan is kind of a broken machine.

He is 50 something years old. Of course he was more 'red pilled' back in his 30s and 40s when he still had fuck you money but also a lot more grit and spit to not give a fuck. Something with age and a man becomes more content in what he can change, and lets go of what he can't. People get pissy about men his age sending teenagers off to war. But without the thought that these teens actually do have the chance to change things.

Perhaps that is what he is doing here. Passing the torch on to younger guys with more to gain. He opened the door for countless millions and in turn showed those millions of men dozens of other great men. Time will tell, but I am hopeful.

^ Joe Rogan Tells Alex Jones He Is ‘Going to WAR’ Against Google And Big Tech
The part about youtube preventing Joe Rogan from having doctors with a view opposing the agreed upon Coronavirus story on the show is interesting, it shows how deeply youtube is aligned with the mainstream storyline of the Coronavirus.

I think its a good thing that Joe Rogan goes to another platform, I hope that spotify will morph into a video platform that can rival youtube and become a proper alternative content platform that can break youtube's monopoly. I don't know much about spotify but maybe the time has come for another well funded player in the video content market.

Here's the video where Alex Jones talks about it. YouTube spoke to Joe "like he was a dog."
If Alex is not embellishing, Joe Rogan's urge to fight seems genuine. We'll see soon.

The notion that the Simpsons or Rogan are offering anything but gatekeeper fare is very misguided. They position themselves as rebelious and anti-SJW, but will keep their audience in the alt-lite plantation, peddling control tools of drugs, male-centered hedonism, dead end fake conspiracies like UFOs as some kind of maverick, liberating material. That's why they get paid hundreds of millions.

Someone described Rogan as "Oprah for dudes", that is a very accurate label.

The video announcing the move has a lot of dislikes, almost half.

The main complaints are:
- Spotify still unavailable in a lot of countries.
- The comment section. It's where a lot of people hangout.

JREclips channel has clips of the show such as "Joe Rogan reacts to the fight" or interesting tidbits from the show. Some of them get more views than the show itself unless it's a big shot guest (Elon, Alex, etc).

I don't know if the clips channel will be taken off too, but if it stays and they keep uploading a lot of people will not miss the main show not being on youtube too much. A part of consuming JRE is going on youtube to watch an unrelated video, youtube recommends a JRE clip, clicking only if you are interested in the title, and then going to the comment section. They're not too long and the youtube algorithm seems to recommend them a lot.

If they do take the channel off, we can expect to see a lot of new channels uploading the clips from spotify.

That wasn’t my point. Yes, both are more left than right.

Without creative control, anything that challenges the SJW narrative will eventually be silenced. For The Simpsons, “There is a specific clause in the creators’ contract that the network can’t give notes, make cuts or exert creative control over episodes - meaning the producers have free rein to poke fun of FOX itself.”

A smarter contract for Rogan would make creative control non-negotiable. And, from the perspective of the Right, we should cheer those who can (like Rogan) pick (and win) fights with SJWs. Remember: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

But, Rogan is not a Christian. So his perspective will always be hobbled by his disdain for what he derisively calls, “zombie Jesus.” Still, I pray that he does convert. Never too late for anyone.

Jocko had some good points in here, but Joe Rogan took a random left turn to cheerlead for Buttigieg.

I find it annoying that you get guys that should be smart glossing over the defense of what the Minneapolis police in question will be ... it shows how little research some of these sharp guys like Willink even do a times, probably to maintain a broader audience for business. If they did their due diligence they wouldn't be talking about the situation like they did ("killed" him etc); it was pretty irresponsible. We don't have to like procedure XYZ or the way this was handled in particular, but one should be well versed in what actually went down, what the facts of the matter were, and what the police are going to claim they were doing and why, etc - what they were worried about. That point of view is crucially important. After all, their lives are on the line against criminals. On drugs, to boot.
