You look at the criticism Kanye's getting, and you can't help but think that Kanye is the Roosh of rap.
Everyone knows that Roosh is a trend-setter in this space.
He was one of the first people to talk about pick-up, anti-feminism, and of course, Trump. When he came out about the God pill, I had a feeling this would be the next wave for our corner of the internet.
Similarly, Kanye has always been a trend-setter in his field. Autotune blew up after 808's and Heartbreaks, and fast, grimy Soundcloud rap blew up after Yeezus. That's not even mentioning the influence on fashion he's had.
With Roosh and Kanye coming to God around the same time, I can't help but feel like there's a synergy going on between them. Two trendsetters in completely different niches both converging on God (both Armenian Orthodox at that!).
I truly believe there's a Christian revival brewing in the United States and both these men are a testament to that.
