I really don't understand the hate and rumor-mongering for one of our own who hit it big.

I think he's a bit wishy-washy and out for himself only. That's fine overall--it's his life, but it opens him up for criticism.

One of the reasons I really liked Cerno (before I knew about this place) was because he appeared to be very honest and have standards of integrity.

He did his first movie about freedom of speech (Silenced) and I backed it financially. For a year I heard how it was going to be the best move ever blah blah blah and then the final product came out and he did what he accused others of: omitted information that was relevant to the film.

Then, just weeks after it was delivered, he said something in a news letter that the movie failed because xyz. Not that he was learning the ropes. In his own words, in a span of just a few weeks, Silenced was the best documentary in the world, to "a failure."

I respect the work he has done, but I also don't think that just because someone came here makes them immune from any criticism. You put yourself out there in the public eye, people then notice things about you.

Looks interesting.

I want to do a documentary along the lines of "man searching for meaning in the modern world", but documentaries are a lot of work and quite expensive, even with simple concepts.

You're still writing good shit on your blog and in your books. Film is indeed hard. Translating writing skill in writing to film is an expensive, normally low return project.

You have played with the crypto business when you offered litecoin for ROK articles, but especially in light of your last blogpost it may benefit you to look into the folks working on anti-FemState censorship resistance and maybe even finding a profit for yourself while doing so.

A free internet will survive. No, the good stuff probably won't be open to all comers without doing some reading. Personally I think you can make money offering your marketing experience to people building alternate institutions.

However since this is 2019 and not 2014 if you want to take this route it may require some patience on your part. GPG key fingerprint ADD7A9A28F85E5EF1F51904F309BB8D7F3251143 if you would like to privately inquire as to the merits of aligning yourself with The Most Serene Republic of Bitcoin/Patriarchy/OppressingPantsuit.

Have you thought about collaborating with an existing documentary film maker? Or who that might be. Now might be a perfect time with the metoo and times up BS reaching saturation.

I just watched Hoaxed. Pretty good and nothing we on RVF didn't already know about. However, to the uninitiated, it will be eye opening. Not sure how many centre or left of centre people will be open to viewing it though.

Gorilla Mindset is a great book.

Also Mike got pissed at the twitter bots going after him for attacking Trump, and is on the warpath today.

Great fun. He knows exactly what buttons to push to set NPCs off.

Is there anyone better at exposing the fake news media? Mike Cernovich is a net positive in the culture war, no question about it. He also promotes the use of cryptocurrencies now and then.

The guy made his money from divorcing his ex-wife, and somehow that didn't set off alarm bells to anyone...

Good on him if he divorce-raped her, his first wife was a silicon valley lawyer, probably not someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Just stumbled on his Wikipedia page. I don't know what to say really but he must have the worst Wikipedia page in history.

Seems like someone has made a real character assassination on him on there.

I just skimmed his Wikipedia page and came across this gem - I know that Wikipedia was trying to slander him, but it just made me like him more:

During an interview with his wife, when referring to his feelings about becoming a father to a baby girl, Cernovich said, "I'll be nice to her, as long as she's not a basic bitch."

:laugh:

I think he should leave Twitter and mainstream he would do more good here.

I don't think he's out to "do good".

Twitter = attention and exposure.

Here = ?

I am reading his Gorilla Mindset book.
It's really good for a self help book, one of the few rare gems. I was very skeptic but damn, Mike knows how to write.

I don't think Mike is a bad dude.

He's one of the main reasons I was first attracted to this site. I met him in person and he recommended this site as a place to find like-minded people. Prior to that moment, I thought this was a website for rapists and weirdos like suits.

I don't really care much for politics so I don't' follow him much on twitter, but his posts are still solid. Shame that he left this site behind, but I suspect a lot of that has to do with the unbridled skepticism leveled at any public figure who doesn't express massively autistic viewpoints that cater to 50% of rvf but only 1% of the real world.

I don't understand why guys on here think everyone should sacrifice themselves in the court of public opinion to prove a point that will largely go unheard.

Pretty sure this is a false rumor that Mike started himself, sort of a honeypot for his haters to get stuck on.
