The NBA & China Hypocrisy

WOW. Lebron James rips Rockets GM for his support of Hong Kong protesters and sides with the Chinese Communist Party.

"Wasn't educated"? Wow. You know, I used to think that maybe these players had no response because they didn't know or understand what was going on with China. Now I see that it's not ignorance, it's that they just DON'T CARE. It's not a big deal to them if some Chinese protester gets grabbed up in the middle of the night and thrown into a gulag for the rest of his life. But God forbid some Trayvon Martin type acts a fool and it ends badly. Then it's time for outrage, t-shirt protests, and public marches.

I'm done with these NBA clowns.

Eh, I always rooted against Lebron.

It is worth noting that Lebron and the Lakers are in China right now for exhibition/pre season games so I would expect him to cuck as hard as possible for China. It is worth noting that he probably makes tens of millions a year from tv and tshirt sales in China.

Lebron is taking serious heat for this in the general news outlets:

“This is absolutely shameful,” Fox Sports’ Clay Travis said. “LeBron had a week to come up with what to say and he decided to rip an NBA executive who defended democracy. Turns out if you pay him enough LeBron won’t just shut up and dribble, he’ll defend communist dictatorships.”

"LeBron literally has a show on HBO where they break down social injustices in America and how the system is letting people and children here down, but fuck all those people facing injustice in Hong Kong I guess because $$$"

"LeBron James and Steve Kerr becoming useful idiots for a authoritarian regime building concentration camps for religious minorities was never a square I expected to fill on my 2019 bingo card but hey, I’ll take what I can get."

On top of this, Lebron just gave 800 pairs of sneakers to students from his I Promise School yesterday:

Where do you think those shoes are made, and by who?

From an article from last year when Lebron wore his 'Equality' sneakers (https://www.inquisitr.com/4806170/l...shoes-made-by-slave-labor-clay-travis-claims/):

"According to Nike, For LeBron, Equality means that no matter your race, no matter your background, no matter who you are, we all have the power to stand up and speak for something.
LeBron James is selling a tennis shoe with equality written on the back of it, which is made by slave labor overseas. The irony of this decision is mind-blowing. There are effective slave laborers sitting there making Equality sneakers so that LeBron James in America can pat his chest, and all the social justice warriors out there can say ‘my god look how brave LeBron James is; he is in favor of equality.’ The reality is this: The LeBron James Equality shoes are made in a fundamentally unequal way. And the money made from the LeBron James Equality shoes will be distributed in a fundamentally unequal way…
Travis is referring to allegations that Nike has historically obtained its shoes made in sweatshops in Asia that also employed child labor."

.... To be fair, I actually respected Lebron as a player and person overall before this.
Yes, he was left leaning and I didn't agree with everything he did, but I respected him overall for the work he put in to his career, being a decent role model to young kids (and having a good family), and giving back.

But, you have to draw the line when some one flip flops on democracy, and applies their values conditionally on such important issues like respecting the country you live in, based on personal agenda
It all just goes to show that when you start getting to these higher levels in society in the world where the most money and power is involved, the games get super high stake and it can lead you down a rabbit hole pretty quickly
Walk away like Owen Benjamin did and take your values and independence with you, or become a pawn and mouthpiece in a big geo-political game - no matter if you are a J (small hat), Chinese, non J American, white, black, whatever. Although we have a general idea of who the main power groups are, the overall game and power structures at play are always bigger than any one individual - there's no honor amongst thieves

I have quit watching sports over the last few years. Really I just quit watching TV during Trump's 2016 election run when TV exposed itself for what it really is. Anti-middle class brainwashing. I would highly suggest the same for all the men on this forum. But probably the biggest step for men is to quit watching sports. Sports gives us a very fake sense of belonging to a made up tribe. It is all fake, but worse off, it sends a message that you are the inferior beta on the sidelines watching superior men compete for glory.

But if there was an opportunity to really see the mask slip, it was Lebron James last night. If the fool had said "no comment" I would still have the same no respect for him, but that would be a far wiser move. Instead the fool slipped off the mask and revealed what a true gutless coward he really is. How can any man look up to or cheer on such a coward? The guy spends his time campaigning for Hillary Clinton. Send your brothers, sons, neighbors off to die in Syria, and let your neighborhoods be overrun with refugees like Hillary promised, what does this coward care. He will not face any consequences for his dumb actions.

And he goes on over the years to push liberal bullshit politics. He even had a "hate crime" occur at his house under the most suspicious of circumstances, if anyone remembers that fiasco. And we reach the moment of truth. Money this clown doesn't need or finally really standing up to oppression. And he does just what we would expect of a pampered coddled athlete. He wilted and threw the little guy under the bus so he could have more money he doesn't need.

Turn off the TV, it is poison. It is time for men to stop watching sports and take pride in themselves again.

Nah, it was Lebron James choice to run his mouth off. No one forced him to answer. In fact, I thought the NBA was instructing their players/coaches to stop talking about this situation after Kerr made such an ass out of himself. I could be wrong about that.

But if Lebron were smart and didn't think he had the answer for everything, he would have simply said "no comment". But he isn't smart, he is a selfish idiot, a selfish pro-war idiot that campaigned for Hillary and higher taxes on the middle class. And it was only a matter of time before he did something stupid like this.

@ It is my time - sports used to be OK, and I generally just enjoyed it for what it was in the past and didn't look too much deeper into it

But, now, specific leagues are just so blatant with throwing it in your face that these athletes are building multi million and billion dollar empires, and are faces for their organisations that are pushing one sided political ideals and in-group preferences

It's getting the same here in Australia too with AFL - our national sport. They've run ads on their site with law companies that promote and support extreme feminists, and they piggy back on every single social justice issue for more money, support and to suit their overall agenda and expansion. It's got to the point where they've brought in a women's football league that is funded by the men's league and sits in partnership with it, and the women's league doesn't yet sell tickets to games (games are mostly free entry) and gives their TV rights away for free, and there are women's players (because they have been pumped so full of BS about how important equality and women are and not taught the fundamentals of being paid based on the money you bring into an organisation) that are demanding a pay rise.

The actual sport aspect has become secondary to the politics, money and personal agendas involved

I was actually mentioning to the friend earlier this year that I'm losing interest in sport (I quit mainstream news 4 or 5 years ago) because of how toxic, self serving and political it is becoming.

This China/NBA thing might be the straw that breaks the camel's back

It has certainly gotten much worse over the last few years. I am glad I no longer watch it. When I see a random game I just see how bad it is for our society.

The old saying in Rome with "bread and circus" is true to this day. Our people allow their lives to be destroyed because they are kept fat and happy with corn and soy based cheap food sources and games on the TV.

Personally I'm really enjoying watching these grabblers getting savaged by the social justice golem they summoned to destroy the West.

Hopefully they've wildly outleveraged their financial positions until now and this market hit sends them into a death-spiral of bad debt.

What an absolute twat LeBron James is. I respect the success he's achieved and any good that he does but..
This is what happens when dumb people's narcissism and the uncontestable media elites they move around in get mixed together.
Going on about the 'harm' dissent can cause and the 'damage' done.
Jesus.

Joe Smith boomer will watch his news nightly program and be outraged at these "damn Chinese taking over the world".

They weren't happy when Obama bowed down lower than the Chinese ruler. "America doesn't bow to anybody" "huff hum im a patriot"

But when Netanyahu the Israeli ruler comes to visit American congress the representatives 'elected' to represent the American people lick this foreign leaders boots and he receives 50 plus standing ovations for a nothing address. The media even critically singling out politicians that weren't enthusiastically applauding enough. It just doesn't register with Joe Smith.

AIPAC and all these different foreign lobbyists and foreign owned corporations, shit even its own money is owned by internationalists and Joe smith public gives not one single fuck and will stare at you blankly before returning to "but China are commies" "Israels our ally"

Fuck me.

Its like a logic test.

Is there more than one agent of oppression and expanding oppression in the entire world?

We must only name and vilify one.

But are there other growing threats to the existence of civil liberties and Western hegemony?

Must Only Name ((One))!

But what about the others?

Can only discuss them so long as they aren't China.

So China isn't a threat?

Must not discuss incursions by China into many Western spheres of influence, economies, influence-on-politicians, demographics.

But China is making big dents into the security arrangements, economies and population controls of Western countries.
Taking ownership of Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea. Australian bankers working with China to streamline Chinese immigration into Australia. All those port treaties that Joe Biden allowed them to get, they only make sense when viewed as military bases. They own most of British debt from the last recession. They destroyed the last remnants of the British steel industry. The British prime minister David Cameron who rolled over for them, he's now working for China and is paid millions by them. I understand that China effectively owns three American banks.
But we're not allowed to talk about that?

China's okay. We don't have problems with China. We can only talk about ((them)).

So.. two things can't be true at the same time?

To quote: If I have one bullet, a traitor behind me and an enemy in front, the traitor gets the bullet.

The threat of Chinese tyranny is speculative here in the West and if it becomes real then they are a clear and obvious enemy. The best kind to have.

The grabblers on the other hand are the traitor in our midst and the threat they pose is real, immediate and ongoing.

The trouble with entertaining the dreaded Chinese peril is the long and storied history of Boomers and boomerkind desperately seeking out any sort of enemy they'd prefer over the one they ought to accept the immediate danger of. And the (((MSM))) screeching over Hong Kong dialed up to 11 makes it pretty clear that pointing the stupid goyim at the CCP and screaming "attack!!!" is their new strategy to direct attention away from their own traitorous tyranny.

This is why guys like me and S+B slap our faces every time the goyim let the MSM suddenly rile them up over stupid shit happening in far away lands. Because we know from experience that the results are not going to be "China bad and grabblers bad". The results predictably are going to be "China bad and that's all we need because the other conversation is too awkward"

China man bad. Yeah, I get it. But which powerful group has been openly building momentum for the destruction of me and my people right here right now?

Bottom line. If the grabblers are pointing and screaming at something then ignore what they're pointing at and look out for the knife heading for your back.

Agreed. I have nothing against China and the Hong Kong protests appear to be nothing more than CIA Psy Op. I think our elites dream to one day run China, but the Chinese are very well organized and very smart, so for our elites to move in will be extremely difficult. Knowing this, they are trying to point our fighting base, the conservatives, at the Chinese govt.

My problem is with some low IQ cowards who spend their free time attacking people like me and my family from their Ivory towers and then when push comes to shove and true bravery is needed, they tuck their balls between their legs and waddle off.

I hope it hurts the NBA viewership, but I doubt those who watch the NBA care all that much about this situation and will continue to watch.

Thanks for the TL;DR GT777733. I don't really care about this so i never bothered reading up on it. But now that I read what the whole fuss is about, its interesting and of course, unsurprising...

Enes Kanter (Turkish NBA Player who has been exiled from Turkey, and basically character assassinated) now having a go at Lebron:

"While James went so far to call Morey "misinformed" on how China would react to his tweet, he was met by many detractors who felt his comments offered support for a Chinese regime that stifles free speech — one being Enes Kanter.

Kanter is in a longstanding feud with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan that has resulted in him being exiled from his homeland and facing constant threats. The Boston Celtics center tweeted a list of intimidation he and his family have been a victim to over the last five years, with the line "FREEDOM IS NOT FREE" at the end.

Kanter's Twitter:
-Haven’t seen or talked to my family 5 years
-Jailed my dad
-My siblings can’t find jobs
-Revoked my passport
-International arrest warrant
-My family can’t leave the country
-Got Death Threats everyday
-Got attacked, harassed
-Tried to kidnap me in Indonesia

LeBron knows he needs Chinese money to get to his goal of becoming a billionaire and is just acting like the puppet he is to ensure his business interests are sound. The mature and responsible thing to do would have been to say nothing.

LeBron has shown many times to have weak advisors that see just yes men who live in a bubble. For such a prominent figure is very dense and ignorant.

Add the NBA to the list of "jewish subversive shit that I don't watch".

The sooner white middle america stops idolizing ignorant ghetto losers like Lebron, the better.
