How productive are you? Do you have a lot of free time?

This might be you feeling naturally over-energised due to the absence of soy.
My levels of productivity are varying from high on most days and low on one or two per week. Now that you mention free time, whenever I'll have a day where I just rest and do basically nothing - it doesn't really feel like a day spent well at all, although it is important to rest.

Thinking about adding some sort of cardio training in the evening to make use of that extra energy.

Send me your positive energy, bros!

Crazy stressful day + no sleep + just ate a crappy meal, all making me want to relapse something fierce.

What makes this extra hard is knowing that a relapse would truly be giving in, letting my willpower cave, and just watching myself degrade myself because I can't manage my impulses.

Please resist and come back with the news that you've succeeded against satan.

As I wrote before, quit pornography, not masturbation. Fair enough if they are both bad and sins, but the one really shackles the mind. It was the old Roosh advice before the Christian days and the one I find most sustainable with the least damage. Release the thing three times a month and the rest of the time you will feel fine.

Yup, probably good advice. Like with any addiction, a taper can be the way to go. If you release once a week you probably won't need porn.

^ ^
Just replace the girlie clips running in your head with these:
1 - EMJ looking slightly amused, leaning forward for emphasis and bellowing, "It's the juuuice!"
2 - John Doyle whimpering, "naked girl pretty; Must Touch PP!!" ( JD )

I haven't read through much of this thread, so I don't know if I'm being repetitive but managing your stimulation throughout the day is important for me. I find that having ear plugs on me pretty much always - edc - is a good idea. If I'm doing the recycling I might be impatient or clumsy for a moment and that extra "clang!" of the cans and bottles emitted just adds another ounce of frustration to my day. You'll find that a lot of activities are noisier than you think once you start paying attention. The obvious caveat is hygiene: ears need air and water!

Ear buds and full cover headphones are an option for protection but there is the theory that the human body isn't meant to be in the presence of strong magnetic and electric fields, and wearing earphones is putting both right up against your brain. So there is that to consider.

The other obvious potential source of (over)stimulation, if you use a computer often, like many of us these days, is light. Throughout the day I change the brightness and color temperature of my screen.

Anyone have any physical withdrawal symptoms from quitting porn/masturbation? I've noticed increased levels of anxiety, nocturnal panic attacks, insomnia, and irritability.
Definitely. I can't sleep, and I rage hard.

Motivation to change environments (stuck living with parents since shutdown) but also a downstate with no direction. The most frustrating part I find is I have effectively no social interactions and am not in a position to pursue women for relationships. I find myself not making it past 10 days, then going into binges.

Pornography and masturbation are like modern secular addictions to alcohol (pornography) and caffeine (masturbation). They feed off each other. But pornography is the more serious one to break first, if God does not give you the strength to break both at the same time, target pornography first.

In the modern world, secular folks have high-stress jobs that offer no reward in the family life. They are lonely, depressed, and feel meaningless, and then are lectured (if white) about how evil they are.

So they start a cycle. They can't sleep, want to socialize, are lonely for companionship, they need to relax after it all, so they start drinking alcohol at night. This causes short-term happiness; they fall asleep, they are relaxed, they have short-term sexual congress with others. But alcohol is a depressant, and makes it hard to function at work the next day, so they imbibe high doses of caffeine the next day to overcome the hangovers and be good little workers at their soulless job. BUt the caffeine only causes them to get jittery, more nervous, and sleep less at night, so they now have to drink alcohol at night to overcome caffeine. And then drink caffeine the next day to overcome the alcohol. A vicious cycle.

Now, if you met someone who was an alcoholic AND a caffeine addict, you'd tell them to prioritize quitting alcohol first, since its more damaging short term and can lead to worse things sooner, and ignore the caffeine problem in the short term. Many AA meetings, for example, are filled with coffee freebies, because the drug offers some high that overcomes drinking desires.

I view pornography as worse than masturbation. Both are sins, but active pornography use is, in the short term, worse; it causes you to develop distance from actually attractive females, causes you to devote far more time alone, and causes more masturbation, just as more alcohol causes more caffeine desire.

If you feel too weak to do both: break the pornography link first. Then, when you're free of it, you can concentrate on the masturbation.

Go cold turkey on pornography. you';ll find your masturbation diminishes a lot, and the time wasted masturbating diminishes significantly. Then take on the jerk-off state.

I speak from experience. I used to watch 5 hours of pornography a day---even on work days, even on good days. On bad days it was more. It caused me to jack off something fierce. 10 times a day was possible, and sometimes more, if pornography was involved. Cutting out the porn completely reduced my masturbation significantly. It's not gone completely, every day is a challenge, but I can say very confidently that if you avoid ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU MASTURBATE---which is my definition of pornography----you will be light years better off.

If you can't quite alcohol and caffeine at the same time, I advise quitting alcohol. And if you can't quit porn and masturbation at the same time, quit the porn.

Masturbation became my go-to release from stress. It became this FOR DECADES. The hardest is developing healthy stress releases that aren't the self-induced orgasm, since I became broken so young and reinforced being broken for decades.

I'm in my 40s. For you guys in your 20s, BREAK IT NOW. Trust me, being a 40 year old whose first reaction to get stress relief is to jack it is down right embarrassing.

The male orgasm is an extremely wonderful stress reducer. So when men become addicted to it, and then are denied it, anxiety is a result, especially in easily-excitable people (of which I include myself).

Stay strong. You just need to develop healthy "stress release" things that aren't jacking it. Not stress balls, or some New Age shit, but actual activities to reduce stress. Weight lifting and hard-core exercise seem to help me.

Exactly my point. But while masturbation is a biological act that religious communities knew needed control, pornography is a deeply disturbing, subversive and self-destructing modern evil, enabled by the technological progress. It is the ultimate gateway to isolation and social sterility. The two should be separated to better identify when things really went downhill for the Western man.

Masturbation is quite bad for you. Just because its biological doesn't mean its good.

And in the past, people watched others have sex, and were turned on by it, or saw art that made them horny. The problem today is that the filth is pipelined directly to us in private, with millions of categories and types of women and perversion and at high speed. The "40 open tabs and still masturbating" stereotype the No Faps guy talks about is, sadly, very true.

What kind of entertainment do you partake in? Do you watch sitcoms? Sports? Exposing yourself to too much ClownWorld will cause frustration, slowly but surely. I'm not really sure what the solution here is, in terms of being entertained and feeling "normal", but I recognize that it's a threat to my peace of mind. I'm watching a little sports now but I try not to get too invested in it as I realize that my consciousness and passions are finite quantities. And drinking alcohol while watching, the old cliche, is out (unless maybe I had a buddy to chat with).

Pop music is full of wailing about dating and heartbreak, with a side of wahmen empowerment. Just going to a mall or something you have to listen to it, so you are getting a dose of CW piped into your ears.

You talk to your mom (because staying in contact with family is good, how else are you going to take care of them?) but you get the distinct feeling that her topics of conversation are not random. She is trying to talk you into wifing up a 45 y/o with kids - and maybe a PoC for extra points - because she doesn't want you to be alone (and weird!). More ClownWorld.

If you can, take the time to have a lay down and calm think about things. The Asian folks made a high art out of this, it's almost a religion! ;) I keep a food journal every day to keep me on track and there is always space to jot down some thoughts if necessary. If I had done this in my twenties it would have greatly cut down on my contribution to the world's stash of stupid emails.

I think we underestimated how many Media Matters and SPLC minions there are on Roosh's tail.

JLP recently read out a study of Christian men and pornography use. The numbers who viewed it are high

What do you think?
Sexual content. I can look at porn without masturbating, but I can masturbate to a picture of a fully/half clothed woman.
I ask cause I know someone with a foot fetish, and he'll be watching feet videos and get turned on. No nudity at all. So is that his form of porn?

For one virtually all x-rated material is adultery/fornication. So you have that to start with. Beyond that we have less explicit guidance.

Then you have Matthew 5:28 -

"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

I think that unless you can cast off your lust, then it's likely your highest interest in women is the sex. When your highest interest in women is not the sess then your way of interacting with them changes. And the women who catch your attention will change. You can't pick a purer girl over a sexualised girl if you are venerating the sess.

"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body." - Corinthians 6:18

Roosh's past live-stream talking about the immense difficulty of NoFap/No Porn was right on. If I had to give one piece of advice to a younger man, it would be DON'T WATCH PORN. I'm literally sitting here with a mountain of work to do, but all I can think about is PORN.
