The Owen Benjamin Thread

Owen is in a bad world. He blasphemed against the trinity using vulgar and sexual language to refer to it. He hangs out with new age flat earthers, and that idiot Crrow777 who's definitely a gnostic at best and a Luciferian at worst.
A bad world? What bad fruits has he produced? Crrow is most definitely not a luciferian either.

You've seen the blasphemous video right, alluding to the Holy Trinity as a homosexual union.

That's all you need to know to stop watching the guy.
I have not, but I do use the beartaria times app. I am not yet Orthodox, so I do not fully understand the Orthodox teachings on the Trinity. As far as I understand from reading the bible, it does not mention any trinity. This is one of the concepts I could not understand growing up Catholic. It seems like a concept developed later on that was not taught by Jesus. Do you have good information on the topic that isn't church dogma?

The Bible also never mentions "The Bible".

The whole concept is part of Chruch tradition going back to the early Christians and settled by the early ecumenical councils.

There's plenty of stuff on here about the Trinity you can research.

There are some differences between Orthodox and Catholic on the Trinity that came about after the Western change to the Nicean Crede, but both believe in the 3 natures of the Father, Son , and Holy Spirit.

Owen said that the holy spirit was a symbol for something else and made a sexual comment about it because of his own disgusting issues or whatever.

What Owen said is in this thread several pages ago.

Go watch it if you'd like. You don't have to even agree with the Holy Trinity teaching to appreciate the reprehensible nature of his comments.

This is in line with that behavior.... Making shocking comments for attention.

I have watched a bunch of streams in the last few weeks because he had some good takes on the Kanye and Kyrie situation with the Js. Supposedly Kanye got in touch with him?

Anyway, lately, especially the last few streams, he has gone off the rails on the Apostle Paul. He keeps calling him a murderer and even said he was worse than Jeffrey Epstein. It was getting very intolerable so I tried to fast forward past it and yet he was still harping on it. Apparently he complained that a lot of his viewers were pretty offended by it and he called them hypocrites that they would laugh at his off color jokes but not be offended by a murderer. It's gotten bizarre. I think he discounts anything Paul said or wrote in the NT, so it's not even Sola Scriptura, it's Sola Scriptura minus whatever he doesn't like. And he goes off on different churches, he mockingly says do you believe the Roman Catholics, how about the Greek Orthodox or is it the Russian Orthodox, etc. He is clearly against any organized church organization, maybe it's based on his own confusion over which church is correct.

It's gotten to be a bit much. His weird rantings against St. Paul are turning off a lot of people according to him. He said a lot of his viewers want a formal apology about Paul but he's not going to do it.

Of course not.

People who are sick with pride like that need our prayers ... But not our enablement.

I mean think about a guy claiming to be Christian, supposedly trying to help other Christians, who his attacking one of the most important people for spreading the Word and ensuring Christ's Chruch survived persecution through the example he set.

St. Paul is truly a testament to God's ability to take the worst of us and turn us into men who devote themselves completely to The Chruch.

Owen could use a Road to Damascus moment... But having an online platform and people following him are just getting in the way of that.

Nothing I'm reading from your post surprises me sadly.

Has he shared what his beliefs are? Does he believe in the divinity of Christ and His eternal nature?

Maybe these questions don't matter, because if you've denied the Holy Spirit and the apostolship of St Paul then you've already stepped far out of bounds of even what Protestants believe.

I used to listen to him years ago, but had to tap out
after hearing the disgusting sexual blasphemy directed at the Trinity. Scripture is pretty clear you don't come back from that one, Lord have mercy on him. He's more destructive than a quote unquote liberal atheist, in that he lures christians in and then undermines their faith and doctrine. Even Orthodox christians, I've met a few that use his questionable "homesteader dating app" and insist he's a great guy even in spite of his disgusting blasphemy.

@Roosh his beliefs seemed to be kind of new agey, Christ consciousness type stuff.

IDG the St. Paul stuff, I've seen this elsewhere including people I know personally who are ostensibly Christian but like Benjamin seem to pick and choose based on what they decided themselves is correct. I suppose St. Paul seems like an inroad to attack Christianity for race-worshippers because of the ability to insinuate that he was a "Jew" Jew who commandeered Christ's teaching, because he says things they don't like to hear, despite there being no evidence that anything he preached was in any way out of line with Christ, the apostles and the other Church Fathers.

Does he still have a large following? I feel for the Bears that hang on his every word. It is one thing to deceive people or swindle their money. But to lead them down that path that will ultimately end with the loss of their immortal soul is horrific.
