Looks like Russia's Black Sea fleet is fairly strong:

And Ukraine's is not:

By the way, all the TVs at the gym today were covering the "Crisis in Ukraine", including the local news shows. However, I didn't see anyone paying any attention to it. No one was watching, even the people on the treadmills and elliptical machines were looking at TV shows and social media on their phones and ignoring the TVs.

Going strong

Wait, aren't Globalists happy, at long last, with Putin? I mean, Greta Thunberg and the like would approve, there's no more carbon-hungry flights over a big part of Europe.

In any case, we now have a clear, indisputable answer to the question that many of us had been asking ourselves for years:

Is Putin controlled opposition?

Answer : No. 100% sure now that Vladimir Vladimirovich is the real deal, the true leader of the anti-Globalists.

In apparent warning to the United States and NATO, Putin says in televised speech announcing war: “A couple of words for those who would be tempted to intervene. Russia will respond immediately and you will have consequences that you never have had before in your history.”

...and Russia has all its heavy CG cruisers in the Med/Black sea plus TU-22s and MiG-31s with heavy ASM cruise missiles deployed regionally

Massive GRAD volleys from the contact line in Lugansk

Mariupol

TB2 Bayrakter shots own over Donetsk

Marco Rubio seems to have a sharp eye/good intel. He was the first stating that the Russian invasion had begun, even before Putin's speech. Now he is saying that there is an airborne assault going on in Kiev, others saying that they have taken control of Boryspol Airport in Kiev. Russian amphibious assault on Mariupol as well. Russian troops have crossed the border from Crimea, Belarus and Russia. Apparantly the plan is to cut the main Ukrainian forces amassed near the contact line off so that they can fall back to Kiev and will be cut off.

It will get spun the opposite way and then some more. That's the logical consequence of being ideologically charged. If it's A then C is the logical conclusion, but if it's B then C is somehow that conclusion as well - after lots of mental gymnastics. At some point you'll have to let go of that 'criticism'. There is nothing Putin, or you for that matter, could do to make them change their mind

This is a tragedy any way it's spun and this event should not be cheered upon. Lives will be lost. I only hope this is a lesson for future Russian leadership on the need to be proactive and act against sworn enemies firmly and decisively before events unfold instead of allowing the imposition of cancer and letting it spread through the target. The operations to correct these are costlier afterwards. Preventive care is the best care.

With that said, the cancer must be removed before it grows even bigger, beyond the point of no return (as it currently stands). One can only hope that those that know better should and will lay down their arms.

Am I wrong in stating that for all this bold, zesty talk from Zelensky that the Ukrainian forces are really, really not good at defending their own country, something I understand they have only had about EIGHT YEARS to prepare for the possibility of occurring?
