Soledar direction
▪️ The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fear the intensification of the offensive in the direction of Zaliznyanske and Minkivka. Reinforcements have been deployed to Minkivka, where the forward command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is located.

Bakhmut direction
▪️ To the north of Bakhmut, assault detachments of PMC "Wagner" advanced to the Bakhmut non-ferrous metal processing plant (former Artyomovsk metal processing plant - AZOM), where Ukrainian formations dug in. The assault on the territory of the enterprise is complicated by the presence of a developed network of underground facilities.
▪️ Using the bridgehead in the Stupki area, the Wagnerites advanced towards the village of Yahidne and entrenched themselves along the road from Berkhivka. Fighting continues on the hill adjacent to the settlement.
▪️ Fighting is also taking place on the northern and eastern outskirts of Berkhivka, as well as near Dubovo-Vasylivka.
According to some reports, the assault detachments of the PMC "Wagner" entered the central part of Berkhivka and are trying to push the defense formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of an important logistical point of the Ukrainian group around Bakhmut.

Soledar direction
▪️ At the Soledar sector, Russian troops pushed through the defenses of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and advanced towards Vesele, improving their tactical position.
▪️ The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using spotters and quadcopters to track the actions of the RF Armed Forces and Wagner PMC along the frontline.

Bakhmut direction
▪️ To the northwest of Bakhmut, assault detachments of the PMC "Wagner" pushed through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Berkhivka. Now most of the village is under the control of Russian units, the fighting continues on the western and southern outskirts.
▪️ The assault on strongholds of Ukrainian formations continues in Yahidne. The Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred reinforcements to the line of contact and were able to recapture a part of Yahidne. "Wagnerites" are trying to squeeze Ukrainian units out of the settlement.
▪️ On the eastern and southeastern outskirts of Bakhmut, assault detachments of the PMC "Wagner" occupied a residential area along Vatutina Street and reached Shchedraya Street. In addition, the Russian fighters managed to gain a foothold in the area of the meat processing plant.

▪️ In Marinka, fighting continues inside the city. Soldiers of the RF Armed Forces storm enemy strongholds, actively using artillery and tank groups. The forces of the 79th Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are still holding the line.
▪️ Due to the difficulty of the assault directly through the center, Russian troops changed tactics and moved on to envelope Marinka from the south and north.
▪️ The units of the RF Armed Forces advanced at the tire repair plant and opened the way to the south, in the direction of the village of Pobjeda.
▪️ Over the past few days, soldiers of the 255th Motor Rifle Regiment of the RF Armed Forces have broken through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the Marinka-Kostyantynivka road and reached Pobjda. Along the way, they attacked the fortified area of 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fields east of Pobjeda.

Soledar direction
▪️ To the northwest, clashes continue at the Zaliznyanske-Vasyukivka line, as well as in the direction of Orikhovo-Vasylivka. The forces of the 123rd battalion of the 113th brigade of the territorial defense of Ukraine tried to hit the flank of the advancing group of Russian troops from Minkivka and recapture a section of the road to Slavyansk, but the forces of the Wagner PMC repelled the attack.

Bakhmut direction
▪️ To the north of Bakhmut, the assault on the village of Yahidne continues. After the liberation of Berkhivka, the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine seriously deteriorated. Assault detachments of the PMC "Wagner" pushed back the forces of the 25th rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the outskirts of Yahidne - the settlement is practically under the control of Russian units.
▪️ To the west of Berkhivka, fighting is going on at dachas near Dubovo-Vasylivka. The Ukrainian command is trying to hold the village: fire support for the defenders is provided by cannon and rocket artillery from Bohdanivka. However, the dominating hills north of Dubovo-Vasylivka are already controlled by the Wagnerites, so it is becoming increasingly difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to keep this area.
▪️ Positional battles continue in Bakhmut. The "Wagnerites" deepened their control over the eastern outskirts of the city in the Zabakhmutovka area, gaining a foothold in the quarter adjacent to Shchedraya Street. In the southwest, assault detachments of the PMC "Wagner" entered the suburban areas.

Chasiv Yar direction

Kupyansk-Kreminna - 24.02.2023

▪️ There are no visible changes in the front line in the Starobilsk direction. Mutual artillery shelling is taking place along the line of contact, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are reinforcing their positions on the right bank of the Oskil River in case of an offensive by Russian troops.

Kupyansk direction
▪️ At the Kupyansk sector, a tank company from the 3rd Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the amount of five tanks was transferred from Staroverivka to the Dvorichna area. After refueling, the crews took up prepared positions.
▪️ The Ukrainian command is considering the possibility of a counteroffensive on Dvorichne to recapture the lost territories. However, the scenario is unlikely due to large losses in manpower and the transfer of some units to other sectors of the front.
▪️ In the 14th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a gap has already formed which was quickly filled by the mobilized citizens, 32 people were killed as a result of yesterday's strike by the Russian Armed Forces on the brigade's personnel deployment point.

Svatove direction
▪️ At the Svatove sector, separate units of the 67th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as a mobile Electronic Warfare group, have been transferred to the Kolisnykivka-Zahrizeve line. The newly created formation was supposed to remain in the operational reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine grouping in the Kharkov region, however, due to a change in the situation, it is actively used on the front line.

Kreminna direction
▪️ At the Lyman sector, Ukrainian paratroopers at the Torske-Kirovske line are experiencing a shortage of ammunition. At the moment, artillery crews can only fire at confirmed targets.
▪️ Reinforcements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived at the positions of the 1st battalion of the 25th Airborne and the 13th battalion of the 95th Air Assault brigades in Terny, Yampolivka and Torske, as well as radio stations and drone control panels were handed over."

▪️ Russian troops resumed a positional attack on the defense lines of the 59th Motorized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the vicinity of Pervomaiske.
▪️ After establishing control over the heights north of the Vodyane, subdivisions of the separate assault battalion "Somalia" entrenched themselves in the liberated territories and advanced towards Avdiivka from the direction Opytne, improving their tactical position.
▪️ South of Vodyane, as a result of the assault, the RF Armed Forces encircled one of the strongholds of the 59th Motorized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and advanced in the fields between Pervomaiske and Vodyane.
▪️ Reinforcements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including a mortar crew, arrived in Netailove to rotate the forces of the 59th brigade. After the regrouping the Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to conduct a counterattack on the western outskirts of liberated settlements."

Soledar direction
▪️ Northwest of Soledar, the command of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expects the intensification of the assault of the Wagner PMC and regular units of the RF Armed Forces at the Zaliznyanske-Vasyukivka line. ▪️ To the north of Bakhmut, assault detachments of PMC "Wagner" completed the cleansing of the village of Yahidne, the settlement is under full control of Russian units.
▪️ The loss of Yahidne forced the personnel of the 25th rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to withdraw from one of the quarters in the Stupki area of Bakhmut.
▪️ In addition, the “Wagnerites” entered Dubovo-Vasylivka, from which at night, under the cover of artillery from Bohdanivka, paratroopers of the 46th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine withdrew. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are firing at the village with MLRS and tactical aviation.
▪️ After the final cleansing of Yahidne and Dubovo-Vasylivka, the most logical direction of attack will be Khromove. Through this suburb the remaining supply route for the the Armed Forces of Ukraine grouping in the northern parts of Bakhmut passes.
▪️ Now the Ukrainian units are rapidly preparing the defense line Hryhorivka-Bohdanivka-Chasiv Yar. ATGM firing positions are being set up in the apartment buildings in Chasiv Yar.

Toretsk direction
▪️ At the Toretsk sector, the rotation of the personnel of the 5th Separate Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was carried out. 82mm mortars and anti-tank systems were transferred to the forward positions."

"Battle for Bakhmut situation as of 15:00 /Moscow time/ February 26, 2023

▪️ After the liberation of Yahidne, the assault detachments of PMC "Wagner" continued to move south from Berkhivka. Now Russian units have entrenched themselves south of the Berkhivske Reservoir, and have also liberated Dubovo-Vasylivka - the surrounding area in the west is being mopped up.
▪️ Establishing full control over an important transport artery through Berkhivka created a serious threat to the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the northern parts of Bakhmut - now the only way to the city goes through a country road in Khromove (Artemovske/Artemovskoye), the state of which does not allow it to be used properly.
▪️ Despite the fact that the Ukrainian formations stubbornly hold every stronghold in Bakhmut, the situation for them has noticeably worsened.
To slow down the advance of the Wagnerites, a dam was blown up on the northwestern outskirts of Bakhmut. Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine intended to hold back the advance of Russian units and ensure the safe withdrawal of their forces from the right bank of the Bakhmutka River.
But the destruction of the dam will not fundamentally affect the situation in the city: water will flow through the Stupki area, north of the AZOM plant, and leave along the Bakhmutka River in a northerly direction after several days. In fact, this may force the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to leave the northern districts of the city due to the threat of being cut off and surrounded. The decision itself was probably made hastily in a panic after the breakthrough of the Wagner PMC in Berkhivka and Yahidne.
▪️ On the eastern outskirts, the Wagnerites advanced from Shchedraya Street to Kooperativnaya Street, gaining a foothold in residential development. There are about 300 meters left before the crossing to the left bank of the Bakhmutka River.
▪️ To the southwest of Bakhmut, the assault on Krasne/Ivanivske continues - fighting is underway near the southwestern outskirts of the village.
▪️ In addition, the assault detachments of PMC "Wagner" recaptured some of the positions near the Kostyantynivka-Chasiv Yar-Bakhmut highway.
▪️ In other areas, new lines of defense are being prepared by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Engineering units of the 24th and 28th Mechanized brigades are strengthening their positions in Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora and Dyliivka. Construction materials are supplied daily from Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
▪️ The situation in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is assessed as critical, one of the battalions of the 46th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to be withdrawn to restore combat capability."

It appears both sides are playing a long hand. Russia wants Ukraine to commit reserves into a given cauldron before springing a flank or frontal attack, whatever works best at the given time. Likewise, Ukraine seems to be keeping best trained and equipped units out of cauldrons, hoping Russia overplays a big arrow and presents a weakness. I doubt Ukraine can put up a big counteroffensive, but a decent tank Battalion with Mech Infantry might be their best hope for a mobile reserve. Meanwhile, the 4-hour life expectancy meme continues in Bakhmut.

This is the first war in our life time we have seen where both sides have modern equipment. The previous US wars of Iraq and Afganistan dont compare.

Its either been the US having a quick takeover of the entire country after shock and awe essentially destroying it in the process then failing at “building democracy” wasting trillions and weakening the homeland little by little, or weak governments taking on rebels where both sides slowly decimate one another with old soviet quipments via unofficial big power sponsors.

It wont be easy, if Russia is able to pull this off it will be a decisive victory and the world will change forever. The managed decline of the US thats been occurring for a while will pickup pace. A dangerous time, there will a period of very awkward foreign relations where the US will threaten and sanction left to right but with limited actual consequences to follow. The permanent government made up of the intelligence complex, the state department, and other shadow agencies will continue to think like a 6’10 bully but with the strength of a lezbian on powerful steriods, an helarious but also very dangerous combination. Delusional people are dangerous.

Before that happens there is a war currently moving very slowly. Maybe this is why the Biden regime has gone all in, its either win here and now, or submit to a multipolar world down the line.

Avdiivka direction
▪️ At the Avdiivka sector, over the past few days, the Russian Armed Forces have expanded the zone of control near Novobakhmutivka, advancing towards Novokalynove and Oleksandropil.
▪️ To the south, Russian units have established control over an important hill to the east of Krasnohorivka, improving their tactical position before storming the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village. The liberation of Krasnohorivka will the RF Armed Forces to expand the foothold north of the Avdiivka fortified area.
▪️ At the same time, ammunition was delivered to Avdiivka itself and the personnel of infantry units were rotated, additional firing points of heavy machine guns were installed.
▪️ South of Avdiivka, positional battles continue in Pervomaiske. At the moment, the advance has stalled - both sides hold the previously occupied lines without going on the offensive.

Marinka direction
▪️ In Marinka, Russian troops pushed out the paratroopers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Blahodatne and the Heroes of Chernobyl streets, gaining a foothold on the southern outskirts of the city near the Druzhby Avenue.
▪️ The forces of the 79th Air Assault Brigade were partially withdrawn from Marinka and Heorhiivka for restoration and rest.
▪️ To the south of Marinka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have strengthened their positions in Pobjeda. Three armored vehicles "Kozak" with personnel were deployed to the village, machine-gun crews were placed on the heights, and approaches to the strongholds are under surveillance from quadcopters.
▪️ In the secondary positions in Halytsynivka and Shevchenko, tank groups of the 59th Motorized Brigade and the 1st Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are deployed. Units of the 59th brigade are in reserve in Halytsynivka in case of a Russian breakthrough of the front line.

Vuhledar direction
▪️ Positional battles continue at the Vuhledar sector. After the breakthrough to the dachas west of Mykilske, the forces of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine went on the defensive.
▪️ The marines of the 155th Brigade of the Pacific Fleet of the RF Armed Forces continue to fight in the dachas near Vuhledar.

▪️ To the west of Dubovo-Vasylivka, the remnants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to counterattack, but to no avail.
▪️ In Dubovo-Vasylivka itself, after the withdrawal of the forces of the 46th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, active battles have not been observed over the past two days.
▪️ Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to expand their control around the Hryhorivka-Bohdanivka line, where cannon and rocket artillery crews are located. With fire support, Ukrainian formations repeatedly tried to attack Russian positions, but all attacks were repulsed.

▪️ During the offensive of the Wagner PMC, the 93rd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered huge losses. Its replenishment is carried out at the expense of reservists. The evacuation of the wounded is hampered by the lack of supply routes and lack of vehicles. In addition, a significant part of the equipment of the 93rd brigade is simply impossible to take out of the Krasne/Ivanivske region, since almost all ARVs (armoured recovery vehicles) were destroyed or damaged.
▪️ As a matter of urgency, the transfer of a battalion formed from the mobilized citizens begins from Ivano-Frankivsk. Initially, the unit was supposed to be part of the newly formed 42nd Mechanized Brigade.


▪️ Due to the lack of combat coordination and communication, one of the artillery crews of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit their own formations, which were withdrawn from the front line for resupply. Now this unit is planned to be disbanded due to losses.
▪️ There is a shortage of more than 700 people in the 1st Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. A reserve battalion in the amount of 760 people was transferred under the temporary subordination of the National Guard formation. This battalion is armed with NLAW anti-tank systems, machine guns and automatic grenade launchers, but there are no artillery pieces.

"Tonight, an unknown aircraft fell near the village of Novy in the Republic of Adygea. According to the characteristic details and skin, it can be concluded that the fallen object is a Tu-141 Strizh jet drone.

Why the drone fell there is unknown. Probably, the Strizh lost its way or crashed into a tree, passing the distance at an extremely low altitude.
In the Giaginsky district where the wreckage was found, not far from Belorechensk in the Krasnodar Territory, there is a large chemical plant. It is quite possible that the strike was planned on this object."

"Another Ukrainian drone that crashed today was a strike UJ-22 Airborne manufactured by Ukrjet, which crashed near the Voskresensk gas compressor station in the Kolomensky district of the Moscow region. This device is capable of carrying a payload of 15-20 kilograms and flying 800 km within 14 hours.
The fall of the drone was confirmed by the governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov. Now the collapsed UAV is being dealt with by sappers and employees of the Russian FSB. It is most likely that the Ukrainian drone flew from the territory where Chernihiv and Sumy regions border on Bryansk. Apparently, the device went at an extremely low altitude so as not to be noticed by air defense systems, after which it caught on branches or simply lost its way. The object of the strike was most likely really a compressor station - there are no significant military facilities nearby, strikes against which could have practical meaning."

"Battle for Bakhmut situation by the end of February 28, 2023

▪️ The assault detachments of PMC "Wagner" established control over the hills south of Yahidne, and approached Khromove (Artemovske/Artemovskoye). The last safe supply route for the Armed Forces of Ukraine runs through this suburb of Bakhmut.
▪️ In the east of the city, Russian units lined up the front line along Shchedraya Street in the Zabakhmutovka area.
▪️ In addition, the “Wagnerites” advanced in the area of the meat processing plant and reached the bank of the Bakhmutka River.
▪️ In the south of the city, the Wagnerites reached Tselyannaya Street, and in Sobachevka they are fighting in residential areas.
