What we do know:

1: They have a far more sophisticated SIGINT apparatus than adversaries we’ve faced to date. If anything pops up about it on an unclassified network, they know. Given that this was being used as a publicity stunt I guarantee the word was given out early to the media.

2: They have fully Sophisticated satellite networks. Unless a submarine is involved tracking the movement of anything leaving a military or intelligence site is well within their capabilities.

3: Unlike the US glowies (who have gotten lazy because they’re used to just relying on internet surveillance, bullying tactics, and infinite printed fiat money), they’re still every bit as good at HUMINT as they were during the Cold War. I’d be willing to bet they have some assets in place long before this war was even launched. Even with internet monitoring that’s hard to stop because you can get a signal out using an AM Radio burst that’s easily masked among regular civilian traffic.

There are many problems with this, not the least of which one cannot tell at all which internet traffic is real, and which is used to "throw off" you off the target. I use a couple of privacy plugins that do this--when you visit a site, it throws in a bunch of garbage requests along with the real request you make so the site can't tell if you are actually shopping for dog food or pantyhose and fails at accurately tracking and profiling you. Likewise if I search for "fake moon landing" it throws in a bunch of random words like "pretty red fake large amazon moon apple parade restaurant landing" so no one knows what I'm actually searching for. They call it "obfuscation through noise." If I can use a free browser plugin that does this, I'm sure spies are using it with internet data.

This is just speculation, but who do you think was able to monitor the phone calls of Victoria Nuland, even getting high quality recordings of the call, if not the Russians? I toured the Spy museum once in DC and they said at one point it was estimated that half of the "homeless" on the streets of DC were spies hoping to catch something important as an elite walked by carelessly. I would think Russia still has a number of these types of spies in place in areas that are important.

Since you mentioned AM broadcasting, the US focuses on spying with satellites and internet taps done remotely and often ignores the lower tech devices that "appeared" to have been replaced (pay phones analog cell signals, pagers). People in the shortwave community have reported increased traffic along "numbers stations" -- a weird broadcast of a series of numbers that has confused and fascinated people for years, but appears to be related to government or spy communications. Many times the best obfuscation is doing something right out in the open (Kevin Mitnick had a name for this). The Afghanis used similar tactics which the west was unable to track regularly.

I find it fascinating that these broadcasts have been going on for decades, and yet no one knows their purpose or how to decrypt them. The belief is that the encryption method is rotated with each broadcast.

They are making heavy use of information posted by civilians on Telegram. There is a channel on Telegram, referred to as "that" channel by M. De La Broc, that spends a lot of time marking positions.

I think the narrative is that these are thieves and that military men tie them up like this to punish them.
I'm surprised all these movies pop up at this moment, which make me doubt the reality of it.

I think the combination of fanatical propaganda and censorship by western/Ukrainian media, and the undeniable fact that Ukraine is losing badly, makes those true-believing people enraged and looking out for helpless targets to take it out on. I seriously doubt any of these people were "marauders", they were probably caught speaking Russian, criticizing Zelensky or something innocent like that.

Same thing that we've seen with bloodthirsty retard covid fanatics a few months ago.
