Your focus is all messed up. Forget about steroids, sort out everything else, your wardrobe, hair cut, skin, eye wear, shoes- then learn a language and a musical instrument, do all the things necessary to be the best you can be and maximises you chances with women.

Once you have done everything else you can and the only way you can improve yourself is to go on steroids do it. But do the cost benefit analysis. I don't think its worth it.

Jack, when did I say I needed fashion advice? You sound real effeminate to me.

You have missed my point- If you are taking steroids because you think bulking up will get you laid then at least ensure you have exhausted all other methods of increasing your attractiveness levels to women first.

Hades, that's good advice man, I like to go to the buffet place once in a while, but hey I can do it once a week. To all the people wanting to know why I avoided too much milk, it's because 1 gallon = 3.5 liters of milk and that is nearly 150g sugar, I don't wanna end up with diabetes or anything. That said, I can do half a gallon a day, say 1 liter for breakfast and the rest with my post-workout meal.

I weighed in at 145 lbs today, so I have lost around 5 lbs in the last 4 weeks. It is time to bulk up, regardless of what body fat percentage I am. I got the Driven Sports Triazole & GNC B-Complex yesterday, starting them from tomorrow. I also started a new routine from yesterday, it's used by famous bodybuilders, namely Skip La Cour, Jeff Willet, Kevin Frasard, and it's know as Maximum Overload Training (Max-OT).

To people who're saying they have no idea what I might look like, here's my measurements:
Chest : 36 inches
Arms : 13 inches
Waist: 32 inches
Neck: 14.5 inches
Wrist: 6.15 inches
Forearms: 10.75 inches

When I started off my arms were so freakin' thin at around 11 inches.

When people say they didn't bulk up during a "starting strength" routine, I just want to laugh.

You NEED that gallon of milk, three-four large meals per day, heavy lifts, and every week or so (on your rest day), you MUST go to that chinese place and destroy four to five plates of shit. Literally go there and don't put the fork down for a full hour. If you don't do that, you're not doing "starting strength". You might as well be doing arm curls.

I had the good fortune to not have big issues with bulking since I started out kind of fat/large. When I would try to bulk with a SS routine I got up to about 220 pounds from a base of 195 pounds in about five weeks, just by adding half a gallon of whole milk (and frying everything in butter) per day on top of what I'd normally eat (which was kind of a lot to be honest). I would then hit up the gym three times weekly. If you want to bulk but you're not making side trips for triple cheeseburgers and dousing extra-large pizzas in olive oil you're some kind of an asshole.

Trying to get ripped, I am 23, 5'7 and 150 lbs. I can't seem to pack on a great deal of muscle, I trained Starting Strength for 6 months and only gained 5 lbs, and then I did 5x5 for 3 months, and I only gained very little strength.

My stats are weak:
Bench 145x3
Squat 145x5
Deadlift 225x10
Biceps Curl 70x5

Quite weak as you can tell!

That's not a problem. Anyone can benefit from newbie gains, as this article will show you.

I would just go to the starting strength website and ask them for a standard diet plan, if you are (indeed) already technically competent at the lifts. It's possible that in 10-12 weeks you could be up in the 185-190 pound region, which would be pretty big at 5' 7".

Once you have bulked up to those newbie gains, you have two good options. You can either get shredded and just hit up the gym to stay muscular looking, or you can opt for max strength in terms of neuromuscular efficiency (Pavel's PTTP comes to mind). A lot of people don't really give a shit about max strength though. I look the same in jeans and a t-shirt as most people but tend to be a lot stronger.

Dude, are you for real?

You need the food regardless of steroids. Steroids are not nutrients your body can make tissue out of. Steroids are hormones: messenger chemicals that affect cellular processes. Steroids will hasten the recovery (rebuilding the muscle fibers) using the nutrients you put in your mouth.

You would already be gaining weight if you were drinking that milk and eating those almonds without steroids, and you sure as hell won't be gaining weight with steroids but without eating massive amounts of food.

I have probably down a few thousand workouts, not worth taking juice. I have the advantage of being a manlet in that I am around 5''8 and a little muscle goes along way. Taller guys have a lot more trouble getting that look. Last night I deadlifted 147.5kg 4 x 5 reps, from using good pre workouts and good clean nutrition, I know I can get stronger, and that I will keep my gains. I am 42, although I don't look it. I am roughly deadlifting double my bodyweight for reps. I have been going to the gym for a good few decades, and have seen how shortlived a steroid physique is, they do not last the test of time.

As others have said - forget the roids for now.

Some basic beginner rules I found work great are -
If you want to bulk up at a fast pace
Diet: High Carbs (minimum 300 grams) everyday
Weights: 3 days a week, Heavy Lifting, Reps 3 to 6 per set
Cardio: None
If you want to cut at a fast pace
Diet: Low Carbs (maximum 50 grams) everyday
Weights: 4 days a week, Low Weight, 12 to 15 reps per set
Cardio: 3 days a week - 45 mins per session
If you want to slowly gain muscle while slowly losing fat
Diet: Medium Carbs (maximum 100 grams) everyday
Weights: 5 days a week, Medium Weight, 8 to 10 reps per set
Cardio: None

and eat atleast 150 grams of protein a day no matter what your goal is

This should be a nice simple formula for success, if you can't follow these basic steps then roids will definitely do nothing for you.
