I totally understand not wanting hordes of foreigners in your country. But if you were facing death, starvation, persecution in your home country wouldnt you do the same?

She is very attractive and living with her Brother, his wife, and 3 kids. She tells me the Iraqi/Arab guys here in the states are all douchebags. She dyed her hair blond and stopped wearing a hijab. She is now taking classes at community college. When she started talking about maybe dating some American guys... Her brother straight had enough. He shaved her head and made her wear the hijab again. If she looks at an American guy he will fucking honor kill her. She is terrified.

This is in America. Land of the Free. There are thousands of organizations dedicated to helping women in abusive situations. Probably double the amount for Muslim women particularly. If the woman has the wherewithal to go to a community college, she has the smarts to go to the police. The woman you know has the same ability.

So they send them to college, but then their brothers kill them, nope. A Muslim woman refugee checks three boxes that entitle her to protection in America, and its almost impossible not to show up on some services radar.

Then I'd show her all the groups that will help her obtain those resources.

First thing first, it doesn't matter the slightest, you would fight your ass off to get protection for your loved ones before thinking to emigrate and if we're being real here any country that welcome you after having lived such a lifestyle would be far from intelligent, the american GI that come back from war having seen real atrocities have struggle tremendously living with it, they did fight for THEIR country but are still a put on the side of society so what about foreigners who fought for their LIFE ?

Kona... if you see a girl in a hijab at community college, go hit her up and deliver her this information. Like any abusive relationship... your chances of her actually taking help is low. But on the positive side you could improve her life significantly if she takes you up on the assistance.

This is like the whatever percentage of rapes go unreported myth. It's cool to talk about how bad these people gave it and how we should feel sorry for them, but the reality is so much of it is bullshit.

Any social worker type worth a shit would report this head shaving and threat of honor killing to the police asap. Plain and simple.

Let's use myself as an example. I am a charter boat captain, which is not at all similar to an aid worker at all. Let's say I have a guest come onboard and tell me their brother forcibly shaved their head and threatened to honor kill them if they looked at a man.

Now, this is very far from my professional responsibility, but I would immediately call the Honolulu police.

Someone who's job it is to assist this shaved head woman in any capacity has more responsibility to do this than I do. What's gonna happen when the woman is actually killed?
