I’ve been wondering something.
How does one share the obvious issues of what people are taking, while also not creating a placebo effect of issues. God made our minds powerful and I’m sometimes concerned about bringing things up in fear it could do worse to others and make them worry, especially it they were given an innocent version.
There is also the idea of sunk cost fallacy or escalation of commitment.
It’s challenging to overcome human traits and I wonder what the best approach is sometimes without doing more harm to others mental wellbeing...and therefore possible physical wellbeing.
“Your body is built to heal itself, just stop taking it” is where I’ve landed.
“God forgives, just stop taking it” is another
This leaves them with hope rather than despair, which is what Jesus would do wouldn’t He?
I just drop truth bombs and then shut up without too much explanation. If the person is ready, they will research it further if not, well they are not ready for it.
For example, just few days ago I was with a couple and they were talking about a woman they knew who took the shot and was now ill with 40C degree fever.
So I just said: "The shot is the Delta!"
They went: "What?"
I replied: "Nothing" and changed the subject.
Yesterday, I met the man again and he was shaking his head and pointing with his finger:" You ... you ...."
I said: "What?" and changed the subject.
Obviously he had looked into it and God knows what he read, probably fact checkers but he is now thinking: "What if he's right?"
