Negan dude looks like he is a scrawny skinny jeans hipster who doesn't lift.

It's the zombie apocalypse, where's he going to find a gym?

A friend of mine and I had a bet on who was going to get killed. He said Abraham and I said Glenn. We both won, so money changes hands:-/

I didn't like how they spent a whole episode on making Rick look bad instead of people actual doing things and advancing the plot. I suppose they had to: They spent the second half of season 6 with Rick & Co. picking off Saviors easily so they have to make them a legit threat now.

@Creepin, There's not much talent on this show. Any 6 or higher gets eaten pretty quick; the Walkers have good taste in pussy:

She got kiled in the second episode:

And Rick cut her hand off to save Corl(I bet he kept the and for Fapping):

The drawing the line on Carl's arm was extremely disturbing for me to watch and what Rick was about to do next. Its a shame this show has no nudity though. Missed opportunities with Maggie and pigtails.

Yeah, I don't like Glenn getting killed for the story, since he was an OG and who else is left of the OGs? Darryl?

This episode was more gory and disturbing than most of the stuff that's on HBO, Showtime etc. And I bet entire families were sitting around watching it too. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pretending to be some moral compass but no wonder some of the kids today are so fucked up and this kind of twisted shit on TV ain't helping.

I don't think we're going to see much of Darryl. There's also Amanda Bearse, err, I mean Carol, and technically Morgan's been a survivor since Season 1 despite not having been on screen for a while.

They didn't have to off Glen for the story, but I think they did it to give Paul Rovia, I hate calling him "Jesus", more screentime and a bigger role in the Ricktatorship.

I just watched this episode, and it was pretty damn extreme. I was thinking Lloyd Kaufman directed it, the gore was too over the top, even for me. And this is on basic cable.

Interestingly, if they'd cut off Rick's hand like they teased a couple times, they would have reset the cast to be on par with the comics.

In the comics, both Abraham and Glenn are dead. Abraham's death scene went by without him getting killed (walking down the road towards the bullet factory with Eugene. He got a crossbow bolt in the back of the head.) And Glenn died by Lucille.

So they teased us about the hand, but now we're pretty much on par with the comics. Except we no longer have Andrea, who was the town sniper - she was replaced by the black chick.

The comics get pretty interesting (and civilization buildy) from here on out after the war with the saviors.

He's still alive (and awesome) in the comics. I don't expect him to go away unless the actor wants out early.

Interesting. I just hope the show develops some other facets of his personality besides evil/grinning sociopath. So far so good though...

While I was watching the whole episode play out, all the redpill shit I've read over the years kept going through my head.

-New Tribe takes over, kill the alpha males to create new rule
-Display maximum dominance so there is no uprising
-The most ruthless in any situation wins
-Sentimentality is a hindrance

It was annoying as it made the show hard to enjoy.

One thing that stood out to me is them having Maggie be the only person wanting to continue the fight. That seemed abnormal given the circumstances.

Overall, it was a brutal hour of TV and categorically off putting. Glenn was humanities last great hope. Without him, that version of earth is shit!

I always found the governor to be an abject faggot that they give far too much rope and his rule wasn't believable. Negan plays the part well, almost too well, so I wonder where the struggle will come from.

Same.
Comic Governor was much better.
Having said that, all the "badasses" up till now, have been abject faggots compared to Negan. This guy is a real villain. Shame they had to go through so many seasons before he showed up.

There's a lot going on in the comics, but I'll try to condense it a short synopsis.

Obviously, the Negan-Rick relationship starts off with some serious tension. However, eventually their mutual respect for each other comes to the forefront and Negan proposes to Rick that they find a way to work together, rather than in competition with each other.

Negan welcomes Rick into his heavily fortified home and gives Rick access to his rather respectable harem of 18 horny young hotties.

Rick has the opportunity to kill Negan, but let's him live, believing that they will be stronger together.

Rick's son turns on him for being a sellout, so Rick arranges for his death.

Rick becomes Negan's right hand man, helping him to conquer and govern communities all up and down the Eastern US continental seaboard.
