The incident happened this lunchtime at Paddington Station when police were alerted to a man acting suspiciously.

Pictures quickly emerged of two police officers and a member of the public trying to restrain the man.

It is understood the man was armed with a knife, with a witness reporting that he was shouting "Allahu Akbar".

It was also widely reported the man attacked an officer, but the British Transport Police have since ruled this out.

The man is suspected by police to have mental health issues.

He was 6 months divorced and kids were probably out of the house or at the mother's place. Also it seems that he was on welfare, so they did not need his financial support.

It seems that he did not mind getting killed by the mob. I guess the Imam understood well that it would look a bit worse if the guy who just wanted to flee after the attack would have been bloodily clobbered to death on London street - all visible in videos we see from Pakistan or Afghanistan. The true face of Islam would have been less palatable for PR purposes. They got their Big White "Terrorist" - not gonna mitigate it by smashing his head in while shouting "Allahu Akbar".

There's definitely a change in the air in Australia. I caught up with some mates I hadn't seen for a couple of months for lunch, and the attack came up, and many of them were saying things along the line of "I used to post this [anti-narrative] stuff and everyone would race to correct me, including family. Now I'm getting 20 shares per post."

These guys are all from my gym: so big, muscular guys, every one with the type of big, fuck-off beard I started growing last year. Tribal norms are evident - we look unified, the way herds of girls generally look.

So, I floated something else I've thought I'd been observing:

"Is it just me, or are girls in general dropping the attitude and being a fuckload nicer to us?"

Lately, they're really making the effort to be pleasant to me, and every simple interaction is dragging out into a five minute conversation. My mate was right: they're acting more girlishly. Before that, I'd been to a doctor's appointment where I sat in the waiting room as the girls behind the counter kept up an ongoing conversation with me for 10 minutes, and one girl waiting just openly-stared at me for minutes a stretch, to a degree that I almost felt uncomfortable.

I suspect they're starting to like having a strong, mean-looking White Man in their vicinity.
