I've never climbed anyone's wall or overstayed my visa. I have no sympathy for some gangbanger asshole that comes here to wreak mahem and rape and rob. If you're illegal in someone's country, then stay clean. If you're raping and robbing, then there's a huge "How dare you" factor that Americans are sick of. All you have to do as an illegal is just work hard and mind your own business and no one will fuck with you.

Correct - the US was overwhelmingly Western European - here British, Irish, German, Scandinavian mostly. Italians came mostly later and so did Jews and Eastern Europeans and Russians (in the early 20th century)

The only exception were the American blacks, but their influx essentially stopped a long time ago. The country was predominantly built and created by the Western European stock.

Also most folk don't know that the overwhelming majority of the US population growth in the 18th to 20th century was based not on immigration, but on births - 6 each with far lower child mortality than in the industrial shitholes of Europe.

Latinos came into the US picture just like all other diverse minorities only after the 1960s - and even then en masse only after the 1980s.

People who sneak across the border without being detected are generally absent from most statistics. Some, or many, of those types pay taxes and hold driver's licenses, if they live in a state which permits them to do so. As far as being in the system ICE system, most illegals are not unless they got caught crossing the border. Many people are in that category and escape detection unless and until they are arrested. Often, and I know this might not sound right, I have seen people do worse by being here legally. If you have temporary protected status (TPS), and are convicted of two misdemeanor offenses, they get a detainer on you and you are very likely to get deported. The same goes for lawful permanent residents in a lot of cases. If you are here illegally and do not have an order of deportation dating from when you crossed the border, you are usually not even in the system. If a person in that category gets convicted, but avoids jail or supervised probation, it is highly unlikely that ICE will do anything with respect to that person, especially if the charge for which he is convicted is a misdemeanor. Until recently, I only saw immigration take any action on illegal aliens if they saw the inside of a jail cell, and even then, it was a bit of a crapshoot. If a person who already had an order of deportation saw the inside of a jail cell, the likelihood of an immigration detainee increased exponentially. The only change with regard to all of this which I have seen in recent years is that within the past six to eight months, I have seen illegals who were on the street, but on supervised probation get hit with detainers. Some of those had deportation orders, but I also suspect that many didn't. Bear in mind that this one change obviously wasn't something that Trump did.

The PTA had a meeting behind closed doors. When they came out, the first thing they said to the audience was that they're going to make sure that no immigrants in the school feel uncomfortable or suffer any backlash because of this rape.

One teacher told Jack that the rape was a "fluke".

Maryland began legislation to become a Sanctuary State.

Some parents are looking to move their children to private schools. Some parents also described themselves as "former liberals" because of this incident.

He didn't say what race the rape victim was.

One of the alleged rapists was picked up by ICE, and released after being told to appear at an immigration hearing on a certain date. He skipped the hearing, and nothing bad happened to him.

A faculty member suggested that a "you must sign out before you leave class for any reason" policy would be enough to prevent future rapes.

He also read the police report in graphic detail. Two men, much older than her, forced themselves upon her simultaneously.

Jack calls this a systemic problem, because no 18 nor 17 year olds should be permitted to attend classes with girls that young. (When I was teaching a 10th grade biology class, I had to permanently remove a 21 year old student with a below-50 average, because he was constantly hitting on the 15 year olds.)

He was very pissed off about the whole thing, and so am I.

Oswaldo Elias Martinez, a 45-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador, is accused of beating, raping and strangling Brittany Binger, 16, on Jan. 2, 2005, according to documents from Williamsburg/James City County Circuit Court.

Binger's body was found near the entrance to Whispering Pines Mobile Home Court on Jan. 3, 2005, court documents state. Martinez was arrested on May 19, 2005 after police connected his DNA with evidence found at the crime scene, according to a Gazette article published in August 2007.

Martinez could not speak or write at the time of the crime. He had no formal language training in English, Spanish or American Sign Language, according to court documents. Experts spent about eight years trying to teach Martinez ASL before doctors reported that he would probably never be competent to assist his own defense and stand trial in July 2013, according to an article published in the Daily Press on Sept. 21, 2013.

I think ElFlaco is triggered because he's Mexican and feels some sort of ethnic guilt/shame.

The ethnicity does matter in these sort of stories because the US has a history of issues with criminals coming from south of the border. Statistically they commit more violent crimes, engage in gang affiliation and gang warfare, and generally bring an enormous tax-payer cost from a law enforcement, incarceration, and social aid standpoint. If some Western European immigrant or Asian immigrant committed this crime then it would actually be seen as a "fluke" because these demographics statistically are not responsible for a lot of violent crime in the US.

When talking about crime statistics and putting together policies to deal with them, you have to use a wide brush because talking case-by-case basis will get nothing done. It may seem unfair that some have to suffer because of the fault of others, but the world is unfair and some eggs are gonna break when you make an omelet.
