Always thought this was a conspiracy theory, but they’ve been performing cloud seeding in Dubai for a couple years now. There is also a report of it being used in Idaho on a fire a few years ago in the Hotshot Wakeup link below.

New Mexico got the green light to start cloud seeding over wildfires in the state a few weeks ago. The ongoing Calf Canyon fire is the largest in the state and between the western mega drought and a shortage of wildfire resources isn’t looking to wrap up soon. The Santa Fe National Forest has been closed till 12/31/22 due to the Calf Canyon and the Cerro Pelado fire also on the same forest.

Starting this thread to track any public mention of weather manipulation and effects (weather or otherwise) here in the states. Expect this technology to be used widely going forward due to widespread drought and worsening wildfire seasons in the west.

If this works, it would be an amazing thing. Imagine the Sahara Desert being an agriculture paradise. This would help greatly reduce world hunger and hopefully make it so people could afford to eat more vegetables and fruits.

Cloud seeding works to a limited degree. When clouds are present, and almost ready to rain, the seeding can tip them over the edge to actual rain. The applications are very limited.

These attempts in cases of drought and fire are desperate attempts to find something, anything to try in a difficult situation. Even these attempts can only have uneven results. There is not a general ability to control the weather or end droughts.

There is a limited amount of the water in the atmosphere at any time. If there is a general drought that covers several states, attempts to produce
rain in one state, if successful, could actually worsen the drought in other states! Be careful what you wish for!
