I searched uber on google finance but it didn't pull anything up. Are they publicly traded?

Not yet.

There's a ton of money behind it though, so it's not going anywhere.
Some people will get fired, but the service is too valuable.

Wow, anyone read Lacy's article? Her main issues with Uber are:

1. They have some promotion in France that allows customers to pair with a hot chick driver.
2. The founder joked that the company should be called "Boober" in response to the fact that he's gotten a lot of tail being a successful CEO.

I shit you not; this is all it takes to piss off SJWs. Shit, if I were some prominent public figure I wouldn't even bother trying to appease these morons. More trouble than it's worth.

There's been speculation and talk in the Tech Crunch world for years that Google will buy it. The reason being the service would be a seamless fit with Maps. There's also talk of a public offering.

Uber is currently the most valuable startup out there with 18 Billion plus valuation. I don't see how this stir makes a dent in that. If it does, then these SJWs are far more powerful than I thought.

Oh good and she's married too. Who signs up to have your balls in a jar on her desk?

They just always happen to be shrill and fat don't they? If not fat, then just flat out unattractive. But usually fat.

They don't engage in journalism, they engage in personal outrage and character assassination. Turnabout is fair play.

I've never loved Ashton Kutcher more than when he started tweeting on this. He has one of the biggest twitter accounts there is. As a celebrity, he has been under more scrutiny by the press than any normal person would have to deal with. Turn-around is fair play, right?

Pretty level-headed article from Politico, I wish SJWs got called out on their shit more often.

The most important part is "it's troubling to watch the digital lynch mob on Twitter promote the idea that a man should be fired from his job because he floated an idea, however unsavory, over dinner... it is frightening that many journalists who rely on the freedom of speech think someone should be fired because he said something crazy at the Waverly Inn on a Friday night."

I thought the same thing with the whole Cosby thing that is going on right now. If he had gotten accused of this 100-years ago he might have been strung up from a tree without a trial. Today liberals are trying to kill his career without a trial.

I guess that's progress but you'd hope for more from "progressives".

If there is something we have learned from #gamergate, is to fight fire with more fire.

I'm writing about Lacy and her campaign against Uber for ROK next week, but nobody has pointed out the elephant in the room: the fact that she employs Mark Fucking Ames as a star reporter at Pando.

Yes, I'm talking about that Mark Ames, the guy who co-founded the Exile with Matt Taibbi, the guy whose writing on women and feminism is so un-PC it makes everyone on this board look like Fat Fuck Futrelle in comparison. Ames is also the guy who bragged about fucking a 15-year old girl in the Exile book, as well as about how he bullied one of his girlfriends into getting an abortion by threatening to murder her.

Whenever anyone confronts Ames and his handlers about his Exile writing, they all claim that it was "satire" and that he made it all up. I have evidence that this is bullshit: there's a notice on the book's copyright page declaring the book to be "nonfiction" and that all the characters and events in it are real. I scanned the page in for the ROK article.

So either Ames was lying then or he's lying now. If the former, he's a fabricator unfit to be employed by any news organization; if the latter, it makes Lacy's complaints of Kalanick's "misogyny" completely hollow. Pretty sure that Kalanick---or any of the tech "dudebros" these SJWs have targeted---has never threatened to kill a pregnant girlfriend.

More on Monday.
