I call it the Clip Art style. Back in the day, if you wanted to make a presentation and you didn't want to license expensive photos, you would have to use Microsoft Word's awful, cheap Clip Art. They looked exactly like this. They were designed to look ugly and cheap, so you would pay for their licensed photo collection. It's obviously designed and used now for demoralization purposes.
The NPC is sweating because, fundamentally, they know that medicine isn't supposed to make you sick, but at the same time, leddit told them that Orange Man Bad and Vaccine Good, so they don't know what to do.
Yeah, a lot of this has to do with the use of vector graphics design software.
Don’t get me started on the ukulele... that signature sound that just says “faggy millennial”, uggh...Yeah the clapping and glockenspiel, too. (I guess the idea is to make you feel like you’re stuck in preschool or something...)
If we’re honest almost all art and architecture post WW1 has been crap. Art Deco contained sort of a last dying gasp within it I suppose (it was conceptualized before the war although it’s most known for the 1920’s through the 1940’s).
