What colognes do you own?

Google Express is having 25% off when you shop thru their portal, max $100. There a bunch of colognes on Overstock.

I bought 400 bucks of cologne, mostly TF stuff and only paid 310 for it. Great deal.

Im looking for a niche fragrance for the summer, I love Creed Aventus and Creed Virgin Island Water anybody have any other suggestions....
Those have been my go to’s since right after I posted on this topic. I’ve almost killed the 1.7oz bottle of Aventus. A lot of women don’t seem to have a strong sense of smell, but those that do seem to love either one.

One thing I’ve started doing is ordering samples from creed so I can test their products. Not a fan of Viking. Also I keep samples of Love in White. This is a women’s fragrance. This is the most feminine smelling perfume out there IMO. So you hook up once you sort of have to tolerate whatever bath and bodyworks spray shit they put on. On the follow up encounter I give them a specific instruction to be as unscented as possible. When we meet up, I toss them a sample and tell them to use it. Initially they may look at you a bit strange. Once they smell it, they’re like “holy fuck, this is some next level shit.” It’s so feminine that it makes them act more feminine and sexually submissive. They go from thinking maybe you’re a bit odd, to “this guy has taste.” They won’t question “did your ex wear this?” I just tell them I was at Nordstrom or neiman’s browsing and the counter woman pushed a sample on me, I liked it and thought it would go well on you.

I only wear one and have been for years.

The scent is a subconscious anchor to anyone who has been in my presence and will trigger moistness and memories far into the future if they every get a sniff again.

All other colognes that I receive as presents end up in the bathroom and are used as after-shit spray.

My Lapidus has always been a good wingman, gave me an extra 0.5 to 1 SMV in the clubs, would recommend

Tried some Montblanc Night at Macy's the other day then went to the Man Cave to watch a game and smoke a decent Cigar... noticed the spice aroma on my hands and jokingly commented damn was at Macy's and tried on some cologne and smell so good i fell in love with myself all over again...

Another Veteran piped up "Go hang a twenty around your neck and walk down the (local) Ghetto Streets and let us know how that works out for ya!".

Need to find some new young banglers and test which fragrances - not that they like - but that take the least amount of time to get them into full-on banging action wherever you might be - that is likely the most useful scale - Fragrance Time To Bang FTTB.

Prada L'homme is the only one I own, and I don't really wear it, mostly because I don't go out that much.

This isn't really something I've researched. The woman at Macy's recommended it to me, and I bought it. But my image and presentation needs work. My whole life needs work, really. Fragrance is the least of my concerns.

Government should fire all the gender studies academics and hire people like you instead, bet the scientific results would be much more useful

WFR(would fund research)

To use your own vernacular, every asshole and his mother wears Aqua di Gio. If you want to smell like every dirt bag who makes twelve dollars an hour and buys his cologne at Walgreens, by all means, go ahead and wear Aqua di Gio.
Not to come off as a snob, but this is so spot on. I posted earlier that I had a bottle of this stuff when it first hit the shelves 20+ years ago. I tried and tried, but I just didn't like the shit. I was in college at the time so to me it smells like hangovers and regrets. But I won't knock the product for the being the success that it is. When I can walk into the bathroom of a Sheetz gas station in Roanoke Rapids, NC and there in the vending machines I can buy an Aqua di Gio scented baby wipe along with some long ago expired condoms, that's a sign that product is a success.

On a side note, I just picked up a fresh 100ml bottle of Aventus this weekend. $435. Something doesn't seem right about it. Maybe I'm just used to it, but it doesn't seem to project as well/far as my previous 50ml bottle I got last year.

Creed does customizable sample boxes of 3 for $33 now and you can get it gift wrapped for free. Nice little gift and keep one for yourself. So far, I'm liking the Green Irish Tweed over Aventus. Haven't tried out the Millesime Imperial yet.

Have tried 5ml sample bottles of:

Dior Sauvage
BVLGARI Man in Black
Mont Black Individuel

I only really like Dior Sauvage. The rest I wouldn't wear again.

Overall I think cologne is overrated. I've gone on 150+ dates, banged ~70 women, and half or more of them I was wearing cologne. A girl has never once mentioned it. One girl mentioned that "I smell good" but didn't mention the cologne directly (I was wearing Man in Black that time).

Probably better to wear than not, but I wouldn't invest in anything more than a $5 sample from eBay.

Someone asked above about best Tom Fords. You should definitely check the Private Blend line. There are 5 particularly outstanding fragrances in this line: Oud Wood, Tuscan Leather, Neroli Portofino, Tobacco Vanille, Noir de Noir.

I second Tobacco Vanille, the scent is unique as hell, little heavy, but makes it perfect for colder weather.

What's Tuscan Leather like? I've seen some pretty good reviews on it.

Which works best for you with women?

Colognes and clothes, past a certain point you are doing it for yourself rather than the girl. The point of diminishing return is very very low.

It could be fun though. After ya all praise this tom ford i went out and get 2 samples, one of noir and the other noir extreme. Couldn't tell which is better frankly so i cold approach some girls foe their opinion. They were pretty happy to do so and they all prefer the noir extreme.

One more tool in your bag if you feel like shelling out 140e

I'd say Oud Wood and Tuscan leather. They're giving you very intense, luxurious aura. My go to is Oud Wood it smells like you'd own a hedge fund, I wear it for evening dates with quality girls. Tuscan leather is on a little more casual side.

Sure thing. It's fun though, just as you're saying, and helps me with setting the mood and the aura I want to emit - playfulness, openness, mysteriousness etc. Also it feels great to wear some luxurious niche scent like Roja with a good suit. It's an immediate confidence booster for me even on worse days.
To be fair, most of chicks won't perceive any in difference in quality past established designer fragrance houses. Unless it is something that will turn on their olfactory memory - I don't want to smell like someone's ex/co-worker, so I try to omit the most popular frags, including some that were mentioned heavily in this thread. Literally every guy on streets or in a club smells these days of one of the big five Dior Sauvage, Invictus, Paco Rabbane 1M, Versace Eros or Le Male. Summarizing: do it for yourself.

My girl really loves an old cheap fragrance Paco Rabanne Black XS, i also have gotten compliments on it in the nighttime - good for clubs. My go to is still Lalique white - it’s such a cheap fragrance but smells unique and quality.

Yea, Lalique white is one of my favorite after gym scent. Perfectly refreshing and lasting more than a cologne water.

Gentleman,

I highly recommend the following cologne. Now, it is quite expensive but I have NEVER received so many compliments. The first time I wore it, I stepped into a bar in Dublin and as I walked by two girls and they snapped their heads around so quickly trying to find out where this glorious scent was coming from. If you this is in your budget, you need to pick this up...
