What colognes do you own?

fresh

I got The Terre D hermes, witch is dark warm smelled, get a lot of compliments aswell. Besides that I have Paul Gautiler The Man (blue man, olde classic).
Of fresher fregances I have Cartier, Cartier and Clinique Happy.

But for a superior look, but you need to be a man, not for small teenage boys, the Terre.. But works great...

Tom Ford Grey Vetivier, Comme De Garcons Series 4 Citrico, Donna Karan Fuel, Alvarez Gomez Colonia, Santa Maria Novella "Russa", YSL La Nuit de L'homme, Malin and Goetz Rum Tonic, John Varvatos, Ralph Lauren Romance

Favorites are probably the Grey Vetivier (smells like money) and the CDG..I really like their stuff in general. Their Incense stuff rocks.

Glad there's someone else out there that appreciates this stuff. Fell in love at first whiff. Girls love that shit, too. Just as recently as a couple weeks ago I was making out with a chick in her car and right before I started sucking on her tits she told me how great I smelled. It's a winner.

Yeah...I'm on my second bottle of this, and I don't even wear cologne that often. I got compliments about it from a woman in Rome a couple of years ago. She was a friend of a friend, and wanted to take pictures with me. In Italian, she told my friend that I smelled nice. Another one of my long-time squeezes LOVES Le Male on me.

I own bottles and bottle splits of these:

Fuel for Life- Diesel. this appeals to women, especially younger ones

Vetyver-Roger & Gallet. nice greenish vetiver, shortlived but great for a refreshing spritz

L'Eau d'Issey- Issey Miyake. the only floral I own, women like it

Body Kouros-YSL. I like it for cool weather, women seem to be neutral on it

Cologne-Thierry Mugler. smells like soap, good morning scent

Tommy Bahama Original-Tommy Bahama. a woody scent, have had compliments from women. cheap too

Nightflight - Joop. powerful projection. good summer clubbing scent for unsophisticated girls

Carolina Herrera for Men- perfumey with a weird nutty note. not a fan

Rochas Man- Rochas. great for cool weather, lots of women like it. better for dates than clubbing because doesn't project much

The Dreamer- Versace. I like it when the mood strikes but can be polarizing. best for spring I think

Terre d'Hermes-Hermes. although relatively new issue, a real classic gentleman's fragrance. gets female compliments though mostly from 30 and overs

Aqua Quorum-Quorum. a cheapie aquatic scent good for the gym, sports and car air freshener

Dirty English-Juicy. a cheapie that I really like. very manly scent. have had compliments

Voyage-Nautica- good inexpensive aquatic

Aspen-Coty- decent supercheap knockoff of Green Irish Tweed

Instinct-David Beckham-really excellent citrus/vetiver at a cheap price. great bargain

Set Sail St Barts-Tommy Bahama- nice cheap hot weather scent

Hugo-Hugo Boss- a daytime scent I am not crazy about but women like it

Encre Noire-Lalique. like this a lot, great cool night scent.

La Nuit de l'Homme. excellent clubbing scent with great projection. 30+ women love it. I call it The Milf Killer

Millesime Imperial-Creed-an amazing sumer scent, one of the very best. just wish projection wasn't so weak

Jaipur Homme Fraicheur-Boucheron- a decent oriental

Musc Ravageur- Frederic Malle- sexbomb in a bottle. warning-very polarizing-women either are repulsed by it or want to start rutting with you immediately. the first hour is not for the faint of heart

Aqua-Bulgari- my favorite aquatic. draws female compliments

Aventus-Creed- yes

Cuba Gold- a decent super cheap knockoff of Le Male

Eau de Baux-L'Occitane- I like i but haven't worn it enough for a fair test

Chic for Men-Carolina Herrera- kind of sweet floral smelling but haven't tested women's reactions yet

Patchouli 24-Le Labo. good lord, like some weird modern art experiment in fragrance. Have been afriad to wear it n public but will give it a go some evening this winter when I'm feeling like an asshole

Kinski-Esocentric Molecules-smells like cannibis. really like it

Tobacco Vanille-Tom Ford- great scent for cold weather.pricy. mixed reviews from the chicks

Tuscan Leather-Tom Ford- someone told me this smells a lot like cocaine  good stuff

Black Aoud-Montale-one of my favorites. at once urbane and dangerous. absolutely not for everyone-best for the worldy man with solid inner game. draws compliments from sophisticated women

L'Air du Desert Marocain-Andy Tauer- love this stuff but don't wear it when gaming

Lumiere Noire-Francis Kurkdjian- can't decide about this one- sometimes I like it other times I think it is too feminine

Intimately-David Beckham-a decent cheapie for a stay-in date

Leather Oud-Dior. leathery, smoky animalic intensity. Another one i have not yet worn in public even though I love it

Was waiting to see your list, it doesn't disappoint. I've been wanting to get into some Le Labo scents.

And your comment on La Nuit being a milf killer couldn't be more spot on, they fucking love the stuff.

Thierry Mugler sucks, lol this kid is a rookie. Pure Malt is a brilliant scent, as are A* Men, Pure Coffee, and a few others. Somewhat overrated and they sell out quick, but nice fragrances nonetheless. My collection:

Guerlain:
Tonka Imperiale
L'Instant de Guerlain Extreme
Spiritueuse Double Vanille

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

Yves Saint Laurent:
L'homme
La Nuit de L'homme
Body Kourous
Live Jazz

Chanel:
Allure
Edition Blanche
Platinum Egoiste

Dolce and Gabana The One

Dior:
Homme
Homme Intense

Creed Aventus

I've got shit tons of samples too, not worth listing them all.

GQ, question for you. I've read in various publications such as Men's Health and Men's Fitness that men's fragrances tend to last around 2 years and then begin to "go bad". Is that a fallacy? I keep my bottles in a dark, cool closet shielded from sunlight. Surely I'm going to get more than two years out of them, right?

If you store them well I don't think you should have a problem. I've never had a fragrance for that amount of time though, so I'm not sure. Have a look around on Basenotes.

I am pretty sure I have a study somewhere that showed women prefer female perfume on a man. I'm not talking like what old women wear or cougars, but the kind that can almost be unisex. I used to wear the D&G light blue for women. Just a hint and I have to say out of all the colognes and aftershaves I have worn that one got me the most compliments. I may try it again and keep notes on how many compliments I get from 7's and higher.

I will try and find the link, I think I have it saved in my email.

^^^I used to wear some unisex or female fragrances. Shalimar by Guerlain or Angel by Thierry Mugler can work very well on men IMO. A few Serge Lutens fragrances that are marketed to women are also good options (Un Bois Vanille and Chergui)

I use this but don't lnow how long it lasts on me when I spray some.

Is there anything that has that classic, old school smell, is very strong and lasts long as hell? I hate the sweet smelling colognes and don't care if that's what girls like.

That's a classic. I've owned that in the past.

Hah yeah that Boss is a classic used to use that a lot.

A really old school scent is Green Irish Tweed by Creed. Expensive but unique and very masculine.

Issey miyaki has a great men's scent too, forget the name but it comes in a cool light colored bottle.

That's really expensive though, 87 pounds for 30 ml. Anyone ever used Abercrombie Fierce? It does smell unique, but it's just too overpriced in the UK.
