Don't forget that a large chunk of us are eligible for British citizenship too because of our parents and grandparents. Kinda funny how much animosity there is considering how short a time our populations have been separate.

Animosity from Brits towards Aussies? I've never heard any. I mean there is plenty of banter especially when the Ashes are played but apart from that I have never in my life heard a Brit slag off an Aussie in the UK. I think we look at you as being Brits who won the golden ticket and managed to get out. So a little jealousy maybe but no animosity whatsoever.

Ironic how Cameron has cut the government more than any leader before him and yet the country is in the worst state since the 30s, eh? I agree about the death of the social structure, though, but that is not a directly related issue.

I wouldn't know from a British point of view... We definitely prefer Brits over Americans though.
