What is the most powerful brain supplement?

I highly advise against a vegan diet. There’s big money in veganism, and scientific evidence says whatever the money wants it to say. Check out Shawn Bakers instagram or look up #meatrx for more info. Keep in mind that Shawns in his 50’s if you check out his page.

I've read a lot of good things about rhodiola rosea. I cannot report on long-term benefits, but in the short-term, it does give me a bit more focus and mental energy. It is subtle though, and I cannot rule out the placebo effect. That being said, there are many studies and anecdotal reports on the positive benefits of this plant... beyond just cognitive benefits.

I've dabbled with Racetams a bit too. Not enough to notice long-term effects, but apparently the racetams have neuroprotective benefits. I like Oxiracetam for long study sessions... Aniracetam is nice for creative things like writing, it has an emotional lift effect, but it is short lasting unfortunately. Phenylpiracetam is also good for studying, it can be quite speedy compared to the other racetams. I like to use it after nights of poor sleep because it helps compensate for the lack of energy and focus I get from bad sleep.

Lion's Mane Mushroom Powder (fruiting body, NOT only mycelium, both is ok)
Don't need anything else if you're taking that, although there are quite a few other helpful ones.
Gotu Kola, Gingko Biloba, Alfalfa, Eleuthero, etc.

I’ve been taking a pill or two of Mike Cernovich’s Gorilla Mind Rush on days when I have a lot going on. The recommended dose is three pills and that would only be necessary for a long work day with a workout. Seems to be rather effective with improving focus and staying alert.

I highly recommend 36-48 hour fasts once a month. My productivity on fasting days is unparalleled. I've seen some people recommend dry fasting as well (even with no showers), but to me, that sounds too extreme.

I take this stuff where I also find it's good for anxiety. I use to take it when I was studying and I still take it the day after drinking cause I get brain fog.

Rest and information detoxing like someone said in an earlier post works best for me. Unplug for a while.

I started a new job about 6 weeks ago where I can actually focus on one discipline rather than trying to do 20... and the difference is profound. It took about 4 weeks to shed all the stress and mental "noise" from the old job. Trying to juggle too many things will take a serious toll on your mind. Your brain is like a device, in that it has a processing limit and finite resources. Overload it, and it will start rationing those resources, and what you want to do now will not be on top of its priority list.

Regarding things like Adderall and even caffeine; short term gains will likely take a long term toll. Like that device/computer analogy, what is the cost of over-clocking a computer? It doesn't last as long.

Pace yourselves!

I've not found anything that consistently outperforms coffee and alcohol. Tried and tested, one for productivity, the other for sociability, thousands of years of positive results. I think the search for anything with a better effect/side effect ratio is futile.

Cocaine, amphetamines, morphine are very effective but have obvious side effects. I suffered from pretty bad psychological effects on morphine. Can't deny that it was an absolute productive increaser.
