Michele In-Montreal
your words are beautiful, moving, stirring, strong, horrible, captivating, clear... I hear the delicate flutter of your soft-spoken heart... such beauty from such a horrible truth... you sculpted away all the lies, all the complicated self-deception and left bare the true. Yes. That is all I can answer to you... Yes. Thank you for finding the words and the clarity. Thank you for sharing it, even though you knew you would be flooded by more attention by the White Man, incapable of seeing the privilege... (I am the White Woman, starting to see the cracks in the walls of the tower, longing for them to open up)
Do we wonder why they write this stuff with a peanut gallery like this?
Sweet Jebus. The way she wrote that praise is the exact same style used in the African romance emails we ROK writers get as spam all the time.
I'm all for a certain level of nuance and subjectivity in culture and art, but we're at the stage now where 6th grade "artistic" musings are labeled masterpieces because the author can lacquer her words with the fact that she's a super fat Latina. And then sycophants like this Montreal girl come knocking with equally bad lines.
