Take caution in believing any of Putin's motives. The patriarchy and nationalism is smoke and mirrors. Like most politicians he is out for himself and power out all costs. Russian has suffered economically and lost quite a bit of their freedom of speech.

It is funny how the political tide has turned. It wasn't too long ago that Reagan and other conservatives hated and feared Russia (USSR). Remember the "evil empire"? It wont long until Trump changes his tune on Russia once his is fully debriefed by his military and intelligence advisors.

On the one hand, you say Russia has suffered and imply that's bad, and on the other you say we should fear and hate them.

Russia isn't the USSR. I'm not interested in importing Russian immigrants wholesale but I see no reason to fear them. They don't want a fight with us. The biggest problem I see in US-Russian relations is the crazy Cold War-leftover boomer fear of Russia. If that disappeared, people would be a lot less tolerant of Obama's repeated provocation of Putin for absolutely no good reason.

I am not saying we should hate or fear them. (In fact, I had some amazing times in Russia, but that was for other reasons not related to politics). I was placing the current political sentiment in a contemporary historical perspective. I do subscribe to the philosophy of "trust, but verify" as it relates the Russia.

The balls are great, but I wish Putin put more effort into reducing the flow of Islamics into Russia than organizing balls. If there is one thing I don't like about Putin, it's his laissez faire approach towards Russia's looming demographic transformation into a vibrant Islamic republic.

A lot of lefties still think Russia is communists and has big lines just for toilet paper.

Plus, they saw this video where the hat guys whip the feminists:

Russia used to be the darling of the left in America, same with Venezuela, the left loved the economy system of Chavez and there are still articles on mayors USA publications online like the NYT pricing Chavez, if the internet existed back during the Soviet era it would be the same.

Putin has flipped over the script, Russia has become the opposite of what they used to like.

Why not both? People have to have a definable culture to instill the desire to want to protect it. It isn't enough to be anti-Islam. One must be pro-Russia, or Pro-Germany, Pro-Sweden, etc. That's what all red pill leaders need to emphasize. Strong focus on love of country is what Trump tapped into.

There still needs to be incentives for women to marry earlier to bump the demographic needle. A man of great courage in the near future needs to come out against women in the workforce, and giving motherhood exalted status.

The Democratic Party has been taken over by a radical gay rights agenda. They don't just hate Putin but they have an intense hatred of conservative American Christians, who don't approve of homosexuality. Putin is perceived as anti-gay an hence the hatred. Of course, Muslims, a favored victim, are completed exempted from their wrath. Putin has embraced Orthodox Christianity and seeks to improve the morals of the Russian people, which makes him a mortal enemy of the cultural Marxists.

It does seem like Putin is not making any sense by claiming Christianity is the foundation of civilization as Islam grows in Russia.

The only counter-argument I have seen for this comes from 8chan/pol:

Proof of this?

Why would Putin make himself an enemy of the US and NATO if all he wanted was power and money, it would be far easier just to play along.

The video below is why the West hates Russia, it never changed, it was always about this and nothing else:

It is weird.

But the best explanation for why Russia's Putin might back Trump and block Hilary is this: Clinton wanted to turn the war HOT against Syria's ally Assad - and Trump did and does not.

In other words, Russia wants to defend national interests in having more warm water ports for her navy as well as direct access to Middle East oil. Hilary Clinton was going to reverse Obama's supine positioning of the US there.

More to it than that. It's about fighting over who gets to control the pipeline that they want to build through Syria. Russia currently enjoys strong power over Europe because they control the only natural gas pipeline into Europe. Saudia Arabia(Obama's true masters) want to end that control, so therefore Obama and the US establishment want to end it. They've gone to enormous lengths to make it happen and oust Assad yet Putin has managed to stop them at every turn. At this point they're so frustrated with it that they're willing to risk open war.

Rule 1: create made up enemies to install fear in your people so they can be easily controlled.
Rule 2: Once citizens are so sacred of nothing, attack these countries (primary for oil and resources) so citizens will feel safe from made up fear (media's job).
3. Repeat rule 1 and invade another country!

The left has much the same reaction to anything that doesn't fit their narrative. I'm more worried about guys on the right so this post will target them.

Regardless of how bad of a dude Putin is, we need to remember that he is not in it to make america a better place to live and if he could by making american lives miserable improve russia all else equal he would do it in a heartbeat.

According to MIT media labs putin is one of the top 50 most influencial people in the american election.

If you have never encountered russian psy-ops you can read about some of it here:
http://warontherocks.com/2016/09/ca...clear-and-present-danger-of-russian-info-ops/
http://aelkus.github.io/essays/cyberpower.html

In particular, look at this quote:
Russia has been learning how social media helps spread stories for years. Adrian Chen followed one early effort Russia undertook on this front in 2014. He researched a Russian "troll farm," where employees of the Russian government flooded social media feeds with dummy content. One type of behavior he noticed was hoaxing, whereby Russian troll accounts would try to fabricate some sort of emergency and then study how local media picked up on the story and covered it.

Remember the guy is old-school KGB.

Very clever tactics and extremely informative post.
I wish that we had leadership with the balls and out-of-the-box thinking, to exercise these types of strategies.

What a silly statement. Our shadow government absolutely uses these types of strategies. They simply use it on their own populace.

America has the most effective propaganda and social conditioning in human history. Look at our populace and our mainstream television and radio programming. Pure propaganda. A population of programmed zombies, easily manipulated.
