Woman Cuts off Hair Grown for Years and Husband Loves It

A husband's heart-warming reaction to his wife's daring new haircut has seen a video of the moment he sees it for the first time go viral.

Filmed by daughter Praize Kirkwood, from the US, and shared on Twitter, the clip sees her dad nervously waiting in anticipation for her mother, who's sporting a dramatic new hair-style.

When Kirkwood's father finally sees the makeover - a close-cropped dyed blonde do replacing long dreadlocks - his reaction is priceless, as he tells her 'You look like a Hollywood film star!'

Kirkwood captioned the clip, which begins with her dad shuffling nervously from side-to-side: 'So after 20 years of growing her dreads my mom wanted to cut off her hair. She wasn’t sure how my dad would react tho....but this is how he did.'

It's hard to know who's more surprised when the moment of truth is revealed, Kirkwood's father... or her mother at his very loving reaction.

More than 14,000 people have now watched the video, with thousands commenting to say it's left them feeling warm and fuzzy inside - and wishing their own love life was as adoring.

Many wanted more details of what Kirkwood's mother looked like before, and she duly obliged with photos showing longer dreadlocks.

Others even pointed out her father's fashion choices were on point: @Fluffyovens wrote: 'How he look good in double denim, have a gorgeous wife, a beautiful kid, and literally love every single thing about ya mother... some people be so lucky huh?'

I actually got really annoyed when I read this story. The woman actually looked really good at first and I assumed maybe she had cancer or something, but she willingly did all of this. I just can't believe her husband loves this new look.

It's funny how one twitter responder laments her inability to find a guy who appreciates her hair no matter its appearance, or some retarded conflation, and credits the ability for a man to appreciate his wife to the older generation. The issue isn't the haircut. That issue is what led her to the drastic changed in the first place. That is what is missing from the story and it is the part we do not have any back knowledge on. Most times women do drastic hair stuff when they can't look themselves in the mirror and need a reboot. This reboot usually follows a breakup or something else that sends a shock to her hamster. Maybe she is getting the itch to bail, or she senses her dude is. There is a psychosis that leads women to those "makeovers" so something is freshly rotten in there dynamic one can assume.

Also, when I seen she is a black women I more or less tuned it out. You'll never win with the black woman and her hair situation. It's a complex third rail situation that I have learned not to touch. You give your input as to what you like and prefer and you get out of the way. It is a topic that could be a thread itself.

Lastly, black woman more or less are the only girls who could get away with short hair in a larger percentage over other groups of girls. I'm not saying I am a fan of the style, but typically black women will have more large eyes, lips, cheekbones, and other feminine facial features to go along with greater hips and curves that give them rope to not have to use their hair as a feminine signal versus other groupings of women. A woman, like Emma Watson for example, is just a boyish girl with long hair. Take away Emma's hair and she is a boy looking woman (she is hyped and unattractive to me for those reasons). A woman like Watson needs her hair to be a reminder signal for her as she is woefully deficient in other more classic feminine areas of aesthetics.

Things like this are why I'm happy I moved back to my "shithole" region where I grew up. I live a small city of 50k with a large student population and still never see these types of girls. Had I never moved to Ann Arbor, MI for graduate school, I doubt I would even know the SJWs existed outside of tumblr or even about this forum.
