Seeing all the ugly feminists and trannies posting about how happy they are for Planet Fitness to have done this is great. That means they'll all go there (for a month or two before quitting like always) and leave the real gyms to the rest of us.

I'm not "lauding" PF, I don't even like them, I'm just pointing out the inaccuracies in people's opinion of them, and the fact that most gyms are too stupid or elitist to make their business model more consumer friendly.
Not everyone goes to the gym to become a powerlifter or bodybuilder. For a woman or a fat ass just trying to get in (better) shape, PF provides everything they need.
A smith machine is not ideal for building functional strength when compared to free weights, but it's just fine for getting in shape, burning fat, and developing muscle.

This is the same thing that feminists do, expecting every space to cater to them. There are plenty of other gyms that don't have "judgement free zones" or "lunk alarms" that would be happy to have you.

In unrelated news, I pay 30€ for a whole semester for the gym at my former university. It's basically free. started as a student there, now I just need to talk to the guy who collects the money and he gives me another 6 month pass. Sure it's smaller and cramped but it actually has all the equipment I need. And above all, it has the perfect dirty atmosphere
